In short: Perfect race
In full: First half marathon - better than expected. Good inclines to test you but enough down hills to keep you going. Amazing scenery to keep you occupied. Usually listen to music to keep me going, didn't listen to it once because the atmpsophere is so good and lots of supporters, marshalls and volunteers to keep you going. Definitely back next year. (One small problem - supporters at finish area not allowing enough room for runners to overtake).

In short: a great race
In full: What a great warm up for the london flm. the long long and even longier downhill to the finish was fab. esp as i didn't know about it + i was doing a negative split.
It was quite crowded for the first 5 miles anyway so you don't have much choice to do that a neg split anyway, unless you start at the front of the pack,or you are real good at barging, but hey, with electronic chips who needs/wants to do that anyway, i just realy enjoyed it, took it real slow at the first half and positivly flew like the wind nearly all downhill on the second half. sorry to the steward who i knocked over just past the finish line, i need to change my brakes methinks

In short: Excellent Race!
In full: Second year running this. Organisation was as good as ever. Chris Hammersley and company do a fantastic job in making this a thoroughly enjoyable half marathon. So many volunteers at the drinks stations, I didn't know what cup to take!

Thanks to all involved.

In short: Gets better and better - the holy grail of trail ?
In full: Thanks to everyone involved in organising and supporting this fine race. Much more fun than running on road and, for lazey types like me, nothing too serious in the way of hills.

Great support, scenery and organisation

In short: Great course let down by poor organisation.
In full: This is the second time I have done this race and they really need to improve the water stations [lots of cups but no water].The water station at 8 miles has to to be one of, if not the worst I have come accross in over 20 years of competitive running. It is also the first time I have finished a race and there has been no water at the end. Orange lucozade is no replacement and just makes some runners feel bad. I won't say much about the "lucky bag" medal which has found its way into the dustbin, though the sweets were nice for the journey home. It is a shame that such a race has fallen well below the standard one would normaly expect.
