In short: Its a good job it's flat to the finish
In full: Its nice that the course has the hills and steep bits in the first 2/3's with a relativly flat run in over the last 4ish miles. As last year well put together and plenty of support from the sidelines. And the weather was about as good as you could ask for.

In short: enjoyable undulating race with a big city start and finish
In full: An impressive start arena in Leeds Millennium Square and all seemed pretty well-organised. Scenery outside the city bit on the dull side, particularly on the ringroad section, but I've run races with much much worse backdrops. No complaints on the goody bag - you get a quality t-shirt and a nice medal

In short: Great race and as tough as it always is!
In full: Those last 3 miles from Kirkstall Abbey to the finish always finsih me off! Was worried about how my fitness would hold up for this one (I've been ill for two weeks) but it held up pretty well. Weather was very nice tis year (not too hot, not too cold).

My only quibble as mentioned below was that the goody bag was a bit disapponting.

But all in all a great race with a great atmosphere.

In short: well organised undulating half, very enjoyable
In full: second time I've run this and enjoyed it again. Started a little nearer the front so didn't suffer from the slight overcrowding I got last year. Minor point would be a bit clearer signing /broadcasts how to make your way to the actual start but apart from that I think it went very well considering the number of runners. Plenty of water stations, all well organised , plenty of marshalls so all in all a good race. Would say the goody bag was a little sparse, a t-shirt, nice little medal and a twix ! ok there were isontonic drinks and water at the finish but thought a few little goodies in the bag for a race of this stature would have gone down well. Maybe I'm comparing it unfairly to the GNR or the FLM and it certainly won't stop me coming back next year. Thanks for all the hard work from the organisers and volunteers !

In short: I personally found Kirsktall Road mentally challenging to finish - driven it hundreds of times and it only takes 5 minutes!!

In short: I was disappointed with the drinks stations. It was my first half marathon and I was aiming for 2 1/2hrs. I completed it in just under this. I could've been quicker if there had been water at all the stations and a sports drink at any of them!!
In full: I felt the entry price was steep considering I did not get to a single drinks station that had a sports drink there and most of them had no bottled water and were handing out plastic cups filled from bins. I had to pick sponges up off the floor.
There were plenty people behind me who may well not have got any water at some of the stations.
We may not be elite runners but we probably need the fuel more than they do as we are running for considerably longer.
There was no fuel at the end of the race either.
At the Dewsbury 10k I had bananas, energy bars and energy drinks and for a fraction of the cost.
This is my only gripe.
I thoroughly enjoyed it otherwise but I think it is a major health and safety concern that needs addressing.
