In short: My first slog and I had a blast. Marshals were fab, organisation brilliant, lots of friendly runners, and a mars bar in the good bag. Awesome day out.

In short: First time at this race and it has jumped to the top of my fav race list!
In full: Mud, mud and a bit more mud, but great atmosphere, enthusiastic marshalls, jelly beans and a chocolate bar in the goody bag at the finish! Loved it and will be back again next year for sure.

In short: Great fun and fantastic atmosphere
In full: Great organisation, great marshalls and great atmosphere. Plenty of mud and plenty of challenges from the sheep dip and pig trough. Thanks to those who helped me get back up on the 3 times I fell into the water during the course :-) Finished absolutely covered in muc and probably not smelling too good either!

In short: I will keep coming back - need I say more?
In full: As wet as ever! Mud like a skating rink, mud to clog-up your shoes, then some sloshy mud. Slightly messy start when the hooter went before a quarter of the field were ready, but we were never going to win anyway. Thoroughly good humoured, cheerful marshals, lots of support, and a decent goodie-bag. Always worth the effort.

In short: Bog snorkelling, sheep dip, pig trough ... need I say more?
In full: Another splendid time, plunging into cold water and watching mud creep up my legs. Great organisation and poignant two-minute silence at the beginning observed by all. Only things I avoided were the jelly beans, not knowing how many slurry-coated fingers they'd been through before mine.(Peanuts on the bar syndrome!)Looked like I'd been rolling around with farm animals at the end, but so what? Flippin' well loved it!
