In short: Just how you'd imagine a locally run race should be!
In full: Great event with a nice if slightly sporty field of mainly club runners. OK route following the banks of the loch with some great scenery. Shame about the start and end through a bit of housin estate. A couple of long very gradual inclines but nothing that will tax the legs too much. Great local support at the plentyful water stations and seamless organisation of your own drinks table (makes you feel like an elite).

Best of all was the great forumite turnout, over 10% of the field!

In short: This is one that I will do every year!
In full: Once again, the organisers have done a tremendous job in running this event. Hard to believe it's only in it's 3rd year. All the volunteers at the drinks stations were so supportive, and the atmosphere was brilliant. A must do race for any marathoner.

In short: A fairly small marathon with fantastic scenery. A prize was given to the last female and male finisher. The weather was warm and sunny and Fort William could be seened at its best.
