In short: Fantastic organisation as usual from TW Harriers. In full: Very enjoyable race. Great motivation from Martin Yelling on the mike. And IT made may day to get my medal from the legendery Dame Kelly Holmes. Yep, I will be back for the fifth time next year. Date of review: February 27, 2011

In short: First one back from injury and the hills reminded my muscls what they have been missing during the past six weeks - and what they are going to received over the next few weeks leading up to the big ones In full: Hard graft as always - tremendous goody bag, medal and tee (and they even catered for fatties like me!) In short: Finished with a big smile on my face..... In full: ... so much so that the commentator at the finish commented on it saying it was the "best smile they had had all day" - which made my day as well.
Loved everything about this race: the numerous toilets at the start (top marks); the fantastic marshals (and so many of them as well); the numerous drinks stations (just perfect); the gel station; the supporters who were so supportive all the way round; celebrities (Dame Kelly and Liz Yelling) and last but not least the people who had finished and were walking back along the road who were so encouraging on the last mile....
I missed out on getting a medal from Dame Kelly but hopefully next year hey ;-); also as Kev says if Liz Yelling doesn't want her prize of the newton trainers, am happy to add them to my growing collection.....
Will definitely be back.

In short: Enjoyable challenging course, great organisation & excellent T, medal & goodie bag In full: My first time at the Tunbridge Wells Half and every bit as good as the reviews I have read. Very well supported and marshaled enjoyable route, extremely well organised and good quality T, medal and goodie bag to all finishers. The first time I have received a T that fits - XS sizes and not too long! Martin Yelling did a great motivational commentary at the start and it was fantastic to receive my finishers medal from Dame Kelly! To top it all I got a PB and ran my first sub 1.30 half - by 2 minutes! Thanks to all the organisers, marshals, bands and supporters for a highly recommended event. Date of review: February 27, 2011

In short: A really great race, everything was brilliant from the organisation, goody bag, scenic course, marshalls, Dame Kelly Holmes support, even the weather this year behaved. Well done TWH. In full: Would highly recommend this race, enough of a challenge to test yourself. the organisation was very smooth, friendly at HQ, Kelly Holmes starting the race is great, then being there at the end to give out medals is amazing - what other race can offer this. The goody bag is a treat, lots of useful things and I'll definitely wear the technical T- shirt. The very friendly girl at the stand even suggested I try one on to make sure I got the right size. Perfect. See you in 2012. Date of review: February 27, 2011

In short: Brilliant race In full: First time running this, great pre-race set up. Couse was great a real challenge, loved the hills and the marshals were first class, more than enough water and a top goody bag to boot. TW Harriers can be proud. Date of review: February 27, 2011

In short: Excellent but testing race In full: The first 6 miles were fine, the 7th was horrendous (a hill with no end in sight!) and the next 6 were fine again! I surpassed my expectations by about 10 minutes, and it was lovely to look around at the scenery when running which made the hilly bits very bearable.
Only two minor gripes - I didn't get given a t-shirt, I rather naively just assumed it was in the impressive goody bag - surely someone at the end should have made it clear that t-shirts could be picked up?
The other gripe is against everyone moaning about the Gu gel. Yes, it tastes foul, and is thick in consistency, but no-one made you take this free gift (FREE GIFT!) - next time, stop expecting the world on a stick and actually try bringing your own carb gels with you!
A terrific overall experience, and a credit to TW Harriers and the people of Tunbridge Wells (and the picturebook surrounding villages). Date of review: February 27, 2011
