In short: I so enjoyed running a PB, well worth the trip! In full: I could see the check-in desk was hectic but I was lucky and had sent in a SAE for my number to be posted to me! I was hoping for a PB and sailed around, going a bit too fast at first but the brisk winds slowed me down on the back straight! A great race and the drink station and photographers were a welcomed distraction from the lap counting- see you next year! Date of review: November 26, 2006

In short: Bit boring, doing 3 laps but definite PB potential & no mud! In full: 3 laps of Castle Combe circuit wouldn't be everybody's cup of tea, but there are no poy holes, you know exactly what's coming next and you can't get lost! Organisation around the entries desk was chaotic to say the least, but instead of grumbling, I just pitched in and helped. The start was delayed by 30 mins as a result but the race itself was fine and there was even a drinks station. Some people thought it was short as there were lots of PBs but I wore my sat nav and, if anything, it was a few metres too long so those PBs are genuine! Got a goody bag ans there was a cafe on site doing hot food & drinks. Everybody was very sociable & there were a lot of 'new'runners so not at all elitist which was great. Well done - I hope there's one next year, but get your entry system sorted! Date of review: November 26, 2006
