In short: Souper Dooper this year
In full: Love it, love it, love it.

It's all been said before but the reason I love this race so much is basically, on the second up(Juniper Hill), with it's bloody false crest, ((darn it Rob, can't you PLEASE do something about that?)) I stopped to look at the view. Beneath me running up the hill was a plethora of people dressed in the most ridiculous outfits:

Several Super heroes, horses with riders, fairies, angels, nightclub goers, the entire cast of baywatch and the Monty Python Knights of Ni and a nearly naked bloke dressed as a tree (sorry for oggling Nick - I didn't realise it was you ;o)and so many more.

Now, where else can you experience that on New Years Day, with a hangover, in one of the most beautiful areas in the country?

No further questions y'honour.

In short: What a way to start the year!
In full: The best atmosphere of any race I have done in years! Despite the tough course (the toughest 10k I've ever done), everyone was full of smiles on this very cold January morning. Loved the handicap system, which gave the event a less competitive feel. Great mementos at the finish. Could not fault it.

In short: Such good fun that even the fairest of fair-weather runners will love it!
In full: Cold and icy in parts, which meant I actually took a tumble this year - no fractures though! Once again a magnificent run to start the New Year, with great atmosphere, superb costumes, brilliant scenery to enjoy on the way around and some tough hills to get your teeth into. I was looking forward to my mug, but was just as happy with a hat instead :-D

In short: If you are a Running Junkie this race is definitely for you.
In full: If you are a Running Junkie this race is definitely for you.
If you are brave hearted and looking for an adventure look no further, Trionium races is what you are looking for but please do not try this at home!

Braving the cold at temp –1 degrees on the first day of the year to run a 10k race is not going to appeal to many runners, but mention the word Trionium Races or Knacker Cracker 10k, and everyone is interested. These races have the qualities you have been looking for and will test your mind, body and soul. It will also push you to extreme limits. Take heed you will get steps, hills, mud, and other rough and tough surfaces to run on.

The Runners, Marshalls, and locals egged me on which made the race enjoyable and friendly. The handicap start made it very interesting and different; I was not lonely in places. For me, the cherry on the cake was the fancy dress which was blooming marvellous. The mascot beat me- well done young lady for that impressive run in that large outfit. I have seen some outrageous fancy dress in my life time but seeing is believing, I nearly fell down laughing, I have never been so amused!

My only disappointment was not wearing my trail shoes that was the biggest mistake of the year. The conditions were very muddy and slippery in places. I fell twice because of the icy and muddy conditions. If I had been wearing my trail shoes I could have avoided falling down the steps and also slipping in the muddy area.
Yes, you could say I started the year 2010 with a bang.

I was bitterly disappointed with my T-shirt presented to me; it was far too small in size. Unfortunately, that’s all they had left. I have been there and done it but can’t wear the T-shirt!!!

I ranked Trionium New Year Knacker Cracker 10k the second most terrifying race in my entire life. First is Rough n’ Tumble 10. The only time I fell last year were a few times in Trionium Leith hill half marathon.

Knacker cracker 10k will guarantee to make you feel cream crackered and will never disappoint. Trionium races are the bee knees.
Well done Dr Rob you pulled it out the bag.
