In short: Great way to spend a Sunday morning
In full: Thanks to everyone involved in this event - it was well organised and a great course. It was good to run past some of the other sites in the National Forest - a bit of sightseeing en-route. Decent T shirt.

In short: Scenic and good first 10k
In full: This was my first 10k race and having done a few of the 5k Parkruns that partly run along the same route, I kind of knew what to expect.

On a mixed surface of generally well metalled footpaths, it is flat for large periods with a few undulating sections and one beast of an incline which comes after about 4 miles but is very short. The downhill for the last mile or so is very welcoming!

The organisation was very good. Not bad for spectators as you can head up some of the tracks and paths yourselves but if you want to watch the runners, there's only really the start and finish areas which the runners also pass at around 2 miles.

The timing is manual but based on my GPS watch they were pretty spot on. The goodies at the end consist of a t-shirt and a water bottle but no medal.

Overall a very well run event on a scenic trail that is challenging in places but generally good for all levels.

In short: Very well organised with some unexpected hills. Nice t-shirt too
In full: This is one of the 'hillier' 10ks I have done and throughly enjoyed it. The volunteers on the course gave you a smile and a cheer which was great - very encouraging. Mixed abilities and general fun atmosphere so would suit anyone. Not good for a PB as quite undulating but super nonetheless :)

In short: Well organised & enjoyable
In full: This was my second 10K & really enjoyable - but with the hills tough to get a PB! Oranisation was very good and the Marshalls were excellent. Will do again next year & attempt to crack the hour!

In short: Once again a great event
In full: Second year I've done this one and I'll make every effort to be back again next year. Great organisation, excellent marshalling, good and challenging course through lovely countryside, top friendly atmosphere and a really good quality T-shirt to commemorate the event. Hats off to the organisers, well done!

In short: Great first 10K
In full: This was my first 10K and I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun. The course was very scenic and well-marshalled. The marshals were friendly with an encouraging word or a clap as you went past.

The hills weren't too much for a first-timer like me, and I managed to hit my target time of sub 50. So I was very pleased.

I'm glad the other reviewers mentioned the missing km markers. I didn't see 6-8 either!

The fun run for the kids was great too: friendly costumed characters led the kids off to the start of their one-mile race. My son took part and really enjoyed it.

And after all that you can have a fun day out in Conkers with the family. Can't be bad!

In short: Very good organisation, everyone very friendly & lovely course
In full: Excellent. Recommend this run to everyone, mostly off road but on well worn paths, marshalls everywhere & all very encouraging. Thanks to everyone involved, one for my diary next year.

In short: Excellent course/setting & facilities
In full: Very pleasant setting to hold a running event. 99% away from road on hard trails (road shoes fine). Not a tough course, so doable for all. Good facilities & start/finish close to each other & near to the ample parking area in CONKERS. Fast downhill to finish was most welcome! Lovely coloured very wearable t-shirt.
Chap doing the commentary was very good...almost everyone got a mention & you could hear every word! Only gripe was that km markers 6-8 appear to have been stolen...rather disconcerting to those of us not familiar with the area as not sure how far I'd done or got left to go,'til I saw 9k marker. Otherwise plenty of marshalls in the right places. Would do again.
