In short: Bonkers - running through torrents of water and deep freezing water.
In full: Fifth time I have done Marlow Half so I must be bonkers. This one was special though, never run through so much water or had such frozen feet and legs. As ever will be back next year!

In short: Really very, very good. Well done Striders.
In full: Superbly organized race in a beautiful piece of English countryside. Sincere thanks to a set of very brave marshalls out in those conditions.

In short: It was a swim but the organisers were superb
In full: If they cant pull this race off in the worst of conditons then I would love to see what they can do in nice weather. We all felt like adventurers running upstream through torrents of water from the previous nights rain but the marshalls were excellent ensuring a sense of humour from the very beginning. A tough course wwas made worse by the weather hoowever it was well worth showing up for. Great T-shirt, lovely cup of tea and superb race set up. I will be back next year for definate.

In short: Bog-snorkeling bonus!
In full: What a great morning! The rain, which had been torrential, held off and this was, again, a fab race.

It's a Very Tough road race: all up hill for the first couple of miles; undulating with some sharp ups and downs for the next 9; down down down for the final two.

The atmosphere was great today, as we were all joined by our insanity to run such a toughie in what looked like would be torrential rain. The marshals were extremely encouraging and chirpy, considering they'd been out in the rain for hours.

The course was flooded in places, but only to just below my knees (I'm not very tall) and was a good giggle.

Thanks Striders for a great race!

In short: As usual the course incorporated steep climbs and long down hill sections. This year featured floods and torrents of water on the hills. Excellent! Marshalls friendly and unflappable in the face of adverse weather.
In full: I love this race. The hills are challenging in both directions, the scenery is fantastic and this year the roads were transformed into deep, fast streams which made it even more interesting! They breed their marshalls tough in Marlow - it was freezing cold, they must have got a soaking and yet they smiled and clapped and cheered us all the way round. Even the t-shirt at the end was good!

In short: In the face of appalling conditions this race was still run smoothly and marshalled in an exemplary fashion. Good humoured, positive and encouraging. A credit to the organisers.

In short: Flooded, tough hills but a really enjoyable run
In full: This is one of my favorite races of the year, its very well organised, and the marshalls deserve a medal for standing out in these conditions cheering us all on, they were brilliant. The route was so flooded but added to the fun and the hills seemed to be tougher than last year! Will definitely be back again next year!

In short: Great race, hills challenging enough to feel a sense of achievement when you reach the top.
In full: Hats off to the marshals for their cheeriness during the heavy rain at the beginning of the race. Lovely scenery which is just as we'll as it takes your mind off the hills! Few more toilets would be appreciated as the two ladies ones weren't enough.

In short: Great way to end the running year.
In full: Nice atmosphere, surprising number of spectators around the course, given the weather!

Best to wear shoes that won't hold water, though.

And will be writing to Bucks county council to get some of those hills reprofiled (never mind getting the drainage sorted!).
