In short: Brilliant race
In full: My first marlow half and will add this to my list of races. Excellent marshalling and organisation, great scenery and a tough course, 10 out of 10.
I would also like to wish the guy who had to go to hospital a speedy recovery and best wishes to his family.

In short: There are worse ways to spend a Sunday (honest!)
In full: No need to trek to New England to see the striking autumnal colours when the Marlow Half is on your doorstep.

A great day out with even the weather proving ideal. The 'pool' at the top of one of the hills was a leftover from the previous night's rain, and made sure that you didn't finish as dry as you started.

Marshals were brilliant and full of enthusiasm and encouragement; I'm only sorry that I was too knackered to thank them as I passed!

Realistically, a PB was never on the cards here, on a course which I hear has been voted the third hardest half in the country. I did manage to shave a couple of minutes off my previous visit from 2005 though, and was pleased enough with that.

Of the course, I could only really remember the hill at the 8 mile stage. In reality it wasn't as bad as I remembered. That's not to say it is easy; I ran the whole course, but it still took me ages to overtake the chap in front who walked up.

Organisation was excellent, and the medical emergency near the finish served to test all involved.

I'm sure I speak for all participants in thanking both the club and ambulance services for their professionalism, and also wishing the runner involved a speedy recovery.

In short: enjoyed it a lot ... not sure why
In full: must be the atmosphere and organisation, not the hill at mile 8! Easy 2 miles downhill to finish blunts the memory of the uphills which went before.

In short: Hills, Hills and more hills with a few downhills
In full: Again, well done Marlow Striders for putting on an excellent event. I knocked 7-8 mins off from last years race so I am really pleased on that course. Was delighted to receive a spot prize for a whole body spray tanning treatment from a nice lady at the finish. She must of thought I looked deserving of a good holiday! Weather just right, didn't even mind the floods as I made headway through the middle while others were picking their way around the edges.
