In short: Well organised and good value race.
In full: Small, about 200 or so taking part. Very well organised and good value race. No road closures but very good marshalling and not a lot of traffic down the lanes, so no problems. No steep hills but a lot of steady climbs/descents so not a quick course.

In short: Wonderful race in a great setting
In full: Fantastic value for money and great organisation make this a perfect choice for anyone fancying a rural race in a wonderful setting. "Undulating" probably sums up the route with a few hills but nothing too challenging.

In short: Superb race, well organised and tough as you like
In full: Well done to the organisers again. As ever things well very well (with the exceptiong of my legs...). It seems the route is now virtually 12 miles, and a fellow runner said is is now way harder than a road half-marathon. I tend to agree. The cruel structure of the race, with the 4 huge climbs kept for the second half, and the cheeky nature of the sting in the tail are just brilliant. Go too fast in the first 5 miles and you will pay later. All the usual worked well - drinks stations, the school etc.
There appears to be a minor glitch with the times (I have been given the time for the person who finished after me) but as I was out for a fair while it makes no material difference. And oddly there seems to be a proble with this review page which is posting reviews to the V of P half...

All in all a great race, keep it up.

In short: The Terminator: terminated my legs for the next 24 hours!!!!
In full: First time at Terminator, and was disappointed that the sun decided to make an appearance, the race would have been even more hardcore in typical February conditions (However I am probably in the minority of loving a run in the pouring rain!).

Not as muddy as expected, but some of the hills were lethal even with minimal mud so I dread to think what they would have been like if it had been raining for the fortnight before. If you like scrambling up banks assisted by a rope, clambering over straw bales, wading through bogs, staggering up near vertical hills to the 'flag' only to find that the 'flag' is not the one you can actually see but the one way off in the distance, all topped off with a quick dip in the river then this is the race for you! If not then I would give it a miss!

Hats off to the marshals, great support the whole way round. Brilliant organisation by PVRC went without a glitch and great value for money. Even more chuffed to get a prize for my efforts totally unexpected, but very pleased. Events like these show the 'big' races how it should be done. Great like-minded runners made for a fab run, thoroughly enjoyed the whole race and can't wait for next year, with, hopefully, more typical weather!!!
