In short: Mildly Challenging Course; Well organised event
In full: First time running this one. Nice Work organised another excellent event. Good sized field - over 1000 runners.

The course is not completely flat. There are a few long gradients (wouldn't call them hills) along the course; but these are balanced out with some long downhill stretches. Mildly challenging I'd say - good thing the weather was very cool this morning. Nice feelgood finish on the track as well!

The event is well supported by locals throughout the course.

Well organised although not many toilets. 2 water stations (1 with bottles; 1 with cups). Plenty of marshalls. The route is safe as all roads are closed. Water and chocolate bars, energy bars and jaffa cakes at the finish line. An OK medal presented by the Mayor! No goody bag but most goody bags are pointless anyway!

I will be back. Nice atmosphere at the finish line.

In short: Good for beginners
In full: First time at this race, very disorganised at the start no signs to let you know where you needed to go. Shortage of toilets at the start. Very easy flat race , great for new comers , although a little dull for the more experienced runner. Probaly would not do again though. ok medal but nothing special , no goodie bag. But penguin bars on offer at the end.

In full: I have run this race now 4 times over the years. The first time since 2008. The route is the same, and the organisation is as good as ever. The only thing I could fault it on was to send the race numbers and details out a bit earlier. I received mine mid week of the race. Having had no communication as to whether I was in the race or not until I chased them the weekend before I was unsure whether to train hard for it or not.
However on the day it more than made up for it. The car parking was ace and well marshalled. In the stadium which was the start and finish the communication and organisation was very well organised. I picked up my race chip straight away and that was it ready to race. We were allowed on the running track for a pre race warm up. Adequate seating for spectators. My wife and small children came along for the first time. As it's our home race they normally line the road to cheer me on. This time they sat in the stadium and enjoyed the atmosphere. So much so my wife even declared a will to race next year. (ans she's a non runner!)
My 9 year old ran the under 10's fun run, which was really well organised and made fun for all ages and ability. Overall a good day out, with a live band entertaining the crowd, food and drink available, massage stations and the Pod Plus shop was open for a browse of running goodies!
Worth doing next year whether you're a seasoned runner or beginner, good chance for a PB as the course is relatively flat with a couple of small gradients to run up.
The route is all road, which is closed off, well marshalled, and marked. Drink stations around half way and again at 7-8k.
I'll be here again next year, well done to 'Nice work' and Ashford athletics club.

In short: Excellent organisation and a PB too
In full: Lashing rain driving down from Strood which stopped with an hour to spare, so the remaining cloud cover and light breeze made for perfect conditions despite the roads being wet and potentially slippery on road markings and manhole covers.

Not the flatest race but by no means hilly,

A well organised and friendly race with only minor hiccups during the kids races.
The organisers even warned us about the water leak at 8K which was just about repaired when we went past.

My only grumble was the pretty ineffective megaphone at the start, it was impossible to hear the instructions and there was a bit of a false start due to the whistle to attract our attention being confused with a signal to start.

That got everyone's attention and the rest of the race went off smoothly.

Well done to the organisers and to Givaudan for sponsoring the event and offering their car parks.

In short: Very well organised and it was nice starting and finishing in the stadium.
In full: This is the first 10k where I've known the course in detail before I ran. Unfortunately my watch battery packed out just at the start so couldn't pace myself along the route and ended up disappointed with my time. There were lots of supporters cheering you on and it was great that the route was blocked off to traffic. Would definitely do it again.

In short: Very friendly
In full: Start did not seem to be organised well for the large field. Marshalled well. Good to finish in the stadium, however the clock could not be seen at the end. Thought it wasn't there then saw it behind onlookers at waist height!
