In short: Challenging race made tougher by the weather!
In full: I had been warned to expect hills but this course was tougher than I had expected. The last second change in start direction was unfortunate and saw me start far too close to the front! Enjoyed this race despite the mud, water and hills. Great atmosphere, well organised and challenging course. Would definitely like to do it again on a dryer day!

In short: Good fun, challenging course!
In full: Lovely atmosphere, great charity. I enjoyed the course. Enough downhill to make up for the uphills..... :)

In short: Hilly, loved the horses, let's keep away from the A3 next time.
In full: Nice organisation at the start and excellent focus on the charIty. Course had some lovely sections with long slow hills and a nice cruise along the ridge at the top. Shame the best downhill was on open public road. Very friendly crowd Lovely raspberry granola bar at the finish!

In short: Tough course but great organistaion
In full: Having run a couple of tough courses described as undulating, the clues were there in a course described as hilly. Nonetheless great atmosphere at extremely well organised race. Despite the hills, only just outside my PB for 10k trail run. Hope the charity did really well - quite moved by the gentleman just prior to the start of the race.

In short: Tough, Up for the first half, down a bit, then up again
In full: A great race; slick organisation, brilliant marshalling and route signage. Tough, tough hills, and a good mix of road, trail, sand, and fields.
Highly recommended!! :-) Will be back

In short: A great event for a good cause
In full: More challenging than your standard charity run, this course should keep even seasoned racers happy. Certainly hilly, and a good mix of terrain.
Good marshaling and plenty of facilities.

In short: Road grass mud tracks sand farms up hill down hill water the lot!
In full: My first time out for this and was told by my partner "Its quite flat". When i pressed her about this flat business after the race she then relented and admitted it was 30 something years ago..... when she was five! Hmm. A Charity race for a very special cause which attracted all types of runners. Generally a good atmosphere but then it was run by all about triathlons so that is the norm for them. Well done guys. The only sore point for me was the start where everyone cramed into the start area despite intent on walking it and being right on the line. Others also with no intention of running or having a go took up large swathes of the start area to stand with friends and family.
Other than that, the flat fast course didnt appear. Instead it had everything you could think of with hills, roads, mud, sand tracks, real cross country stuff and was very enjoyable.
Overall congratulations on a good event and see you next year
