In short: Good race overall
In full: The course is great, organisation, considering the size, good.
- No roadsigns saying how to get there though, also no mark on the map in the booklet saying where (and how much) carparks were. This may not be a problem for locals but I drove 60+ miles to get there and don't now the local road system!
- No attempt to stop slow runners moving forwards, even though numbers were colour coded, so I spent the first 4 miles weaving between slower people, some of whom were walking after 1 mile. That's fair, but as I started at the front of the sub 55 minute group, it was most inconvenient having to sidestep so many people who clearly started in the wrong place!
- tshirt and finish zone were very well manned and organised
- seriously fast course, especially easy for negative splits! hopefully the roadworks won't be there next year. Mud on the road made it very slippery!

In short: Great race, shame about local support
In full: I will do this race again as it's quick and I'm getting quicker but each year I'm really disappointed with the local support. Traffic growls as they have to wait, locals stand and stare at you like you're mad. Age UK (Small) group were great at 9k and one woman by the ambulance was cheering us on. Even right at the finish, there wasn't much cheer. Either that or I was so far back everyone was exhausted.
For a Leeds race it should be better supported. The out & back route is good, and makes a great PB potential.
Too many plodders (like me) start at the front but this time I went right to the back & picked off the field. Worked well.
The t-shirt is poor. If Scarborough 10k can manage a tech t-shirt so can the Abbey Dash.
On the plus side, this year I found the "secret" loos.

In full: This race is done for PB potential only. The organisation was good but I feel that the race is at capacity numbers wise.

I usually run this on my own which is a bit dull but ran this year as part of a corporate team which made it more fun. We didn't all run together but it was good to see each other on opposite sides of the carriageway.

My thanks to the marshalls who did a good job, the age UK supporters at 9K and all of the organisers and other volunteers.

In short: Foggy, made worse by the morphsuit hood!
In full: Had a great run today (PB). Thanks to all the runners in dayglo kit who I had to follow 'cos of the quirk of my running outfit. Must try it again next year in 'normal clothes' to see if I can run it faster by being able to see where I was actually running. Good atmosphere. Respect to the serious athletes coming home as we were on our way out.

In short: QUICK
In full: Really quick course, well organised, great field. A good one if your in PB shape, otherwise it's a bit dull and lifeless. Would certainly do again.
