In short: A wonderful and tough race with plenty of potential for organisational improvement
In full: A nice race blessed with a bright sunny day. You can't manufacture tradition instantly so maybe less Dambusters at the start and more investment in organisation: losing the race through marshalling error and an extra 3/4 mile was a bad start in this respect and sits badly with a weighty £25 entry fee.

In short: Fantastic setting on a glorious day compensated for the hard work climbing up the hills. A good first effort from the organisers.

In short: A challenging half marathon in a very pretty part of the world.
In full: This run is worth a try. A good combination of on and off road with plenty of climbing and decending. A challenge to any runner bored of the usual round the town and back race.

In short: My 1st half marathon. Loved it! Brilliant fun, facilities, scenery, mud & wonderful Marshalls. A crumbling wrinkly running [?!] at the back I appreciate the opportunity to take part in events like this. Thankyou everyone.

In short: Tough - but totally awesome!
In full: This was my first off-road race and I absolutely loved it!
The scenery was amazing and well worth all the ascents. The course is off-road, so there are no spectators - except for occasional passersby. But the truly enthusiastic marshals totally made up for it and cheered you on!
I didn't mind at all the little extra half mile (I actually didn't realise this until people mentioned it); it was just a pleasure to run that part - as were all the others!
I hope the event will take place again next year!
