In short: Fantastic race, with a beer and burger at the end, what more could you want?

In short: A hard hilly race
In full: This was a hard hilly race not undulating as described. Car parking was a quarter of a mile from the race HQ. At race HQ long queues formed to use the limited number of portaloos (3 for 400 runners). This meant that people had to run to the start which was half a mile from HQ. Once running the route was through nice countryside except for a half mile stretch along a notoriously dangerous road. Marshalling was good. At end we got a good t-shirt, a small warm bottle of Stella and burger (no veggie burgers available for the non meat eaters)

In short: Top quality occasion
In full: The finish is virtually inside the pub, and everyone has a beer in hand within half a minute, great way to create an atmosphere at the end and make us forget the definitely hilly hills (undulating doesnt enter into it - the first 5k is pretty flat, the 2nd 5k pretty hilly).
£8 is a great price for everything involved, special mention due for very hassle free parking.

In short: Not a PB race, but a good night out
In full: My first time here, and I enjoyed it, despite being dissappointed by a very slow time!
Several hills take it out of you, and the the water station was at 6.5km, as opposed to the expected 5km point (not good!), but there was a good atmosphere at the end due to the goodies (t-shirt, beer & a bap made it good value), and it's worth remembering to sign up early in order to do it...

In short: not like i expected .. the moderate hills eventually took there tole.
In full: well organised , if neccessary a better race start line because the crowd of racers was slightly oversized .

In short: Water station just after 6k was to far into race should have been earlier
In full: I spoke to about a dozen people after the race and all felt the water station should heve been earlier about 5k. Two runners said they were so dehydrated that when they got to the water station they could not actually swallow properly. I was gasping for water at 5k as it was quite humid and I was overheating. The second half of the race has some tough climbs. Some runners in front of me took no water as they said it was near to the finish well I overtook four out of the five of them. They would have taken the water if it had been earlier in the race.

In short: Scenic yet testing course with a well deserved cold beer at the finish
In full: Easy to locate and park made for a stress free start to the race. Good rural scenic course but with some very testing long hills. Rain cooled everyone down a bit this year. No burger this year but they did lay on a selection of bread rolls to go with the beer and t-shirt. Another excellent race.

In short: Quite tough, plenty of hills.
In full: A fairly difficult course with a lot of hills to go up, as the start was at a lower level than the finish. Well organised though, and good value with a t-shirt, beer and sandwich.

In short: Tough, mainly uphill course
In full: Organisation and marshalling were good but I didn't enjoy the course. Part of it is on a busy main road and after that it just seemed to be up hill all the way to the end. Liked the beer, T shirt and sandwich though.
