In short: A very well organised race over a very fast flat course-Great support along the way,my only criticism is that I missed the first few mile markers as they were a bit small to spot in the mass of runners, but I'll definitely be back next year.

In short: Flat, frantic, fantastic
In full: Have only run Liverpool before and thoroughly enjoyed this one. Crowds were wonderful, organisation smooth.
If you bring supporters be aware the tram system got overloaded and struggledo to cope with all the passengers. Not something the race organisers could do anything about but worth mentioning.

In short: Best Organised Race I've Done EVER!!!
In full: This was my first marathon and I was very nervous. I need not have been, the atmosphere was electric and so friendly. Out on the course the crowd were fantastic cheering and offering sugar boosts - Toward the end my hand was sore from all the hi-5's! The runners were also encouraging and friendly talking me round when I was flagging. The drinks stations were plentiful and the water bags and dropping zones genius. The course was fast and relatively flat and everything went like clockwork in terms of organisation. Amazing guys, in the words of Arnie... "I'LL BE BACK!!!"

In short: Huge Improvement on 2012
In full: I chose to run this marathon again this year following the biblical weather and poor organisation in 2012, thinking that it could only get better. What an improvement! Yes the weather was perfect this year and yet again the support was fantastic but the fast flat course and Old Trafford base make it an excellent marathon experience. My only complaint - the frustrating Iconiq water pouches..

In short: First Marathon
In full: Great atmosphere and camaraderie, my first marathon and I enjoyed even if I struggle in the last few miles. Would do it again next year to learn from a few mistakes and to break 4 hours

In short: Cold, wet and very Windy. However, plenty of aid stations and a good race in the poorest of conditions.
In full: The only issue was the bagging area. I couldn't get close to the baggage drop off beforehand and afterwards was glad of this. The bags were dumped on a field and people were wandering around looking for them in horrible conditions, this after a hard 26.2miles. Unacceptable.
However, despite this, marshals on route where friendly and also the supporters where out to cheer us on despite the rain, wind and slight sleet at times.
