In short: Tip, Top, Trailling In full: Nicky said this was my sort of race and I would love it and for the first year it has not clashed with the same weekend as the Midsummer Munro so I was really looking forward to the race.Dash it, the gal was right, it was just my sort of race, hilly, varied and stunning scenery. Fast, bits slow bits, boggy bits and a whoop of welcome back at the finish from Alan. Amazing organization, a race for runners by runners,a great course. Superb marshals who all had a smile and an encouraging word as we went round.
Many thanks to Nicky, Alan and ETL team. Date of review: June 16, 2014
In short: Brilliant event. Challenging course In full: Another brilliant ETL event. Well organised, plenty of friendly marshalls, great medal. Real family atmosphere, the fun run was a highlight for my kids.
The course is hilly with two particularly challenging sections each with about 250 feet of elevation gain over the course if a mile, there was quite a bit of mud on the course two- glad I wore my oldest shoes. The course is never going to be one for a PB but what it loses in speed it more than makes up for in scenery. Date of review: June 15, 2014
In short: Beautiful but challenging race with a great views and a great medal. In full: The race starts in the beautiful gardens of Polesden Lacey and takes you through the lovely Surrey countryside. Great course with some hills to make it interesting! Beautiful medal at the end and access to the grounds of the national trust property and its tea room for a well deserved lunch.
