In short: Well organised great run with fabulous scenery
In full: Well organised run with brilliant marshals. Tough course for a beginner like me, felt like a hill around every corner although really enjoyed the scenery between mile 6-10. Yes there is a big hill just after 10 miles, but I chose to walk up it and save my legs. The marshals cheered you on at every point, the water stations were well spaced out and the sponges were an added bonus. Finish through central park and then onto the track where everyone cheered you on for a sprint finish. Got a medal, banana and squash at the end. Oh and a 20% off Sweatshop voucher which was great. No need for a goody bag and I thought it was reasonably priced at £19 for affiliated runners. I wouldn't do it again, but only because the hills were just a bit too challenging for me. But as a local half marathon, very well organised and great support.

In short: 3rd Time in Five years but i wish they would address water station locations
In full: Being very local third time done this in five years have no other half marathon race experience to compare this too it is hard with the three especially gore Hill its well organised my only gripe is the water stations they seem to be tightly grouped first six miles then we have a long run and then gore hill without one surely the water station can be positiond at darenth country park entrance i gave up on this hill for the third succesive year all my hill running which is a lot was forgotten
you do need a drink before this not after in the grounds of fleet estate
Sponges were nice touch again and thank you to the kind lady who gave me some jelly babies at darenth thank you all in all will be back but please address gore hill issue i think it costs everyone at least 2 to three minutes

In short: ....of all the days for the sun to finally appear!
In full: Very hot day and a scenic but challenging course. Made sure I remembered the sun cream as it was scorching hot even though it was a 9am start. 3 big climbs but I was determined to run them all.....and did....just! Dipped just under my pb too so I was chuffed to buggery. Good organisation and encouraging marshalls. Would recommend.

In short: A challenging course, the encouraging marshalls really helped
In full: Was a lovely sunny morning, hot but not baking, I was defeated by the monster hill and had to walk it. Didn't feel it was great value for money, just getting a medal and a banana, however still enjoyed it and hope to be back next year.

In short: More up than down!
In full: Mostly ok views. Was a hot day. Lots of hills and one killer hill at 10 miles. Lack of water station before this hill.

Overall an ok race but quite pricy considering there was no goody bag.

In short: Undulating is the word!
In full: Third half marathon and first time in Dartford. Looking at the race pack I knew I probably wouldn't PB this race due to the hills, but before the big hill at the end I was actually on course for a PB! Gutted!

Other than that and the fact that we had a sunny day in this freak wet summer we have been saying it was a great morning, other runners were friendly and chatty and the organisation was really good.

No goody bag as such, but you get a medal, banana and as much water as you want. In fact better than a **** goody bag filled with leaflets and pistachios...

Water stations were great (and needed) not that many spectators, but the route was across country roads so understandable.

However, it also means I have to run another half to get a sub 2hour PB!

Thank you!
