In short: A good race through some nice scenery.
In full: This is a good race through some nice scenery, over a good variety of mixed trails. The race is well organised with a cereal bar and medal at the end. The entry price is a little steep but not to bad. Other people have commented that the trails were a bit uneven, it's a multi terrain race, if you want smooth and flat stick to road racing!

In short: Scenic with bottlenecks, where were the slow runners this year?
In full: They ran out of medals! That is heartbreaking for someone who signed up MONTHS in advance and never stopped running, not even for water and finished a personal best!

In short: A good flat course with good organization. We had excellent weather. Even with that a personal best would be quite a challenge because you have to go single file too many times.d

In short: Very friendly race and great scenery. Highly recommended.
In full: This is a really pleasant event. The race goes through a great mix of countryside and Biddenham old village (lots of chocolate-box thatched cottages). The route is also well planned and manages avoid roads and cars for a large part of the 10k length.

Today the weather was stunning for the time of year and made for perfect conditions (i.e. continuous sunshine, but not too hot).

I've done the event for the last 3 years and the organisation and planning seems to get steadily better each year and demonstrates that the organisers respond to feedback. This year, they had provided some additional portaloos to supplement the rather limited toilets within the cricket pavillion at the start/finish spot.

Minor negatives:
1. There are about 3-4 bottlenecks where it is sometimes necessary to queue for a few seconds, and some of the farm tracks are a bit uneven in places. This will probably frustrate 'elite' level runners looking to improve on every second.

2. Despite it being for charity, I also think £14 for an unaffiliated on-the-day entry is quite steep, as apart from water there are no extras included (e.g. a banana would have been well received at the end).

It is also unfortunate that this year the event coincided with day of the Great North Run - I think a significant number of potential runners had gone to the GNR instead.

Nevertheless, this is a super event and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

In short: Lovely race, PB potential except for a couple of bottlenecks
In full: Only gripe was a missing 8km marker and maybe confusion about the whereabouts of the start, but that was probably due to my not paying attention!

In short: One of the most picturesque races I've ever done
In full: Loved every minute of this and will do it again next year for sure. Certainly one of the most scenic races around.
The sunshine today was an added bonus. Perfect!

In short: A great well organised race.
In full: I didn't think this race had PB potential because of the couple of pinch points, but me and my husband both achieved this today! A very well organised race with plenty of encouraging marshals. What a pretty place Biddenham is. We will both be back next year.

In short: Really enjoyed this run - great course
In full: Didfn't get a personal best because there are a couple of spots that bottle neck, stiles, bridges etc. But a good fun course, flat and multi terrain.
