In short: Fantastic Event for all levels of runner In full: This was a well organised and enjoyable run which is on a slight downhill gradient, but still 13 miles ! The weather was remarkably good too. I live near to, and train(no pun intended)along the Tissington Trail and found the run really enjoyable with a good mixture of runners of all levels. Will be looking to do this again in 2013 and would advise anyone wondering about trying a half to have a go at this as it's a good course for any level of ability(No hills !).Definite possibilty of a PB here too. Ran Nottingham half the week prior to this and knocked off 6 minutes at Tissington. Great Course,Great weather, Great organisation. Date of review: October 8, 2012

In short: Great event In full: Having run much of the route up hill during the White Peak Marathon I was keen to try it down hill. What a great race! Fast course which my Garmin showed as 13.1 but I know that these things can mislead. My fastest half for nearly 10 years. Well done to all those involved. Will be back next year. In short: Brilliant scenary fantastic course In full: Brilliant course, all flat or downhill, hard to keep the pace sometimes due to flatness. Came in 0.10 short but so have other halfs I have done. Lovely marshalling and organisation and the views - just stunning. Nice to just run it sometimes running on my own. Only little quirk for me was at the end 400m before the finish people using the trail and not moving out of the way when I had tried to speed up a bit, part from that the most perfect race I have done. In short: A great event. In full: Not a genuine Half (slightly short) and not a proper PB course (too much down hill for the purist to count) but who cares? Perfect weather, beautiful scenery, a really good trail and friendly, competent organisation. Reminds you why we run! Date of review: October 7, 2012

In short: Awesome fast PB material, Fantastic scenery, very friendly, not too serious and would love to run again. Glorious weather, but would have been ok in the rain! Not only received water at the end, but Jaffa cakes and chocolate! How good is that! Date of review: October 7, 2012

In short: Glorious and I am not just biased because I got a PB! In full: Well organised. Parking at the finish and getting a bus to the start was different but then it was great finishing only a short walk from the car park! And the buses were not too crowded (my one fear!) Glad the weather was so kind to us, a wet and windy day might have felt awful! Met some lovely, friendly people! The trail was good for running and great being traffic free. Not too many walkers or cyclists on the route and everyone was keen to share the path. I had no problems. Enough water stations, nice goodies to eat at the end. Good shower and changing facilities at the end. I will definitely be back next year. And will be aiming to come first in my vet class rather than second. Need to work even harder on the speed! Feeling very happy right now. Date of review: October 7, 2012

In short: Absolutely Fabulous In full: A fantastic run on the Tissington trail from Parsley Hay to Ashbourne, mostly downhill. Beautiful countryside, traffic free and well organised. 100% approval rating from me, my favourite half marathon ever. Date of review: October 7, 2012
