In short: A novel eventt hat will pave the way for similar events
In full: Very generous budget that red bull had for this event made it very worth while - think we were priveledged being the effective guinea pigs for this event. High calibre field....free bar and bbq at the end was a touch of genius. Well done open adventure and red bull.

In short: Brutal brutal brutal
In full: Hardest run I have ever done. I am not a slow runner (sub-3 marathon, 1:20 HM) but I ran this at 10 minute-mile pace to mile 18.5 (knocked out in edale) and was DELIGHTED by this '"slow" time. It was ridiculously tough-hilly, muddy and no area you could get a rhythm. At midday I was never running again. 9 hours later, I'm looking to sign up next year!

Organisation was amazing and the scenery was awesome (I'm biased as I'm local, but it was stunning). Good stuff.

In short: Big hills and big mud...
In full: I thought we had hills down south but nothing like this. A great race in a gorgeous part of the country. The knockout idea is good but I was convinced I'd be out at 8 miles (I was) so it was more about the experience. It didn't fail to deliver from that first brutal climb through the mud, past the fabulous dam and more (I'm sure speedier people got to see even more scenery, I ended up on the coach back.) Bit of a walk back to the car from the finish but apart from that, really well organised and a bumper goody bag too. Only gripe is the people who didn't turn up for whatever reason. A shame really as it deprived others of the chance to run and might have bulked out the numbers in the middle and at the back (where I was.) But it was their loss...

In short: flawless, steep and a good mix of people
In full: Very unique race, you have to do some serious hill training or be a natural mountain goat. Very disappointed that only half the ladies bothered to turn up it was only open to people who was selected. So it seemed very unfair to others who wanted and would of done it.
Please redbull do it next year!!!!

In short: What a brutal event, but great concept and great location.
In full: The hills were extreme, but the scenery made up for that. The hog roast, chocolate brownies and free bar at the end, along with hoodie made this a bargin event. My legs are so sore already though!

In full: Just looked in goodie bag again and found the 'blue john' was actually a note pad. Sorry about previous comments (before I get reported)!

In short: Absolutely fantastic - thank you Red Bull
In full: Glorius scenery. Excellent organisation. tremendous VFM: great hoodie, sweat towel, food and drinks at the finish (including alcoholic drinks). Not sure about the blue john, but represents the area, so was a nice touch I suppose. Not for the squeamish though - it's a very tough race.
