In short: Great organisation and beautiful scenery made for a great 10k
In full: As I didn't do this race last year I can't comment on the negative aspects that people reported (e.g. muddy finish, lack of water, not enough loos etc). But the organisers listened and a lot of work has obviously gone in to this year's event.

The first thing to highlight is the scenery - in the winter sunshine it looked great with the hills of the Ribble Valley forming a perfect backdrop. The organisation for a 10k of this size was spot-on too, with portaloos laid on at the leisure centre registration location and more water than a mineral water spring at the finish.

Throw in an Olympian (Helen Clitheroe) as the women's winner and Ron Hill presenting the prizes and you've got a must-enter 10k.

I'll be back next year!

In short: Outstanding
In full: After the difficulties last year with "Men in suits" making demands on the organisers, it would have been easy to say "Stuff this". But the organisers excelled. The road closure was a big help (though the open roads never caused me any problems previously).
Well done and thanks to all concerned

In short: Great race with a mixed field.
In full: First, thanks to all involved in the organisation. Well organised race, traffic free and pretty fast, despite the 'undulations'. There is something for everyone here!

In short: A quality race on scenic undulating roads with real PB potential
In full: I love this race. There is always a top quality field with some real speed merchants but it is equally accomodating for first-timers and plodders like me.

In short: Shows promise.
In full: Kilometre markers would have been helpful as tis was a 10k race and some of us gauge our progress on kilometer times. Biggest problem was the lack of toilets. I got there in plenty of time but then had to queue behind 15 other desperate souls for the one available male cubicle (the ladies had requisitioned the disabled loo). This left me with a half mile uphill sprint to the start, getting there just in time to do a quick U turn on the start line as the starter counted down from 10 -1. Definitely affected my overall time cos I spent the first mile trying to recover.
