In short: Good 5k course but no chip In full: Did the 5k since fancied a shorter distance this time. Generally good course, but narrow start and the tight turn at half way slowed things down a little.
Great weather given the last few weeks, although fresh head wind on the way back.
Good organisation at start and end, although goody bag was just a drink. Maybe there's more for the 10k runners - I'll find out in April since booked on this.
Biggest gripe, though, was no chip for the 5k for reasons entirely unclear. Maybe they thought of it as a fun race, but some just want to do 5k every now and then and besides everyone wants to know their actual time, whether doing it faster or as a first race. Nothing in the event details to indicate this so a bit of a let down on the day.
My gps watch said 4.9k. Date of review: February 2, 2013
