In short: faultless In full: the race was excellent last year and just got better. firstly the introduction of chip timing & secondly closure of the road from 18K-20K ment we avoided running on a rutted pavement.
really fast course, and fingers crossed for a 3rd consecutive PB in 2014! Date of review: May 5, 2013
In short: Flat, friendly, safe. Would definitely like another go!! In full: This was my first half marathon, so I feel under-qualified to provide a course review or comment on pb potential. I've one to beat now though!! What I would like to say though is that, as well as the super organisation, the supporters, the volunteers, the water that appeared in a timely manner - just as I thought an ambulance might be in order, THE JELLY BABIES(!!), what I really appreciated about this event was the communication from the organisers. Via email, via Facebook, I really felt like a member of a running 'gang'. Soft maybe, but I'm not a club runner, and it's lonely sometimes! (sob). They really did a fantastic job and I would urge anyone to come to sunny Scunny next year to join in. Five Stars from me!! Date of review: May 5, 2013
In short: Extremely well organised, great marshalls, flat as a pancake, fantastic stadium finish and goodie bag, medal, techy top and brownie at the end! In full: The only thing I can fault with this race is it's sheer flatness over 13 miles makes it a bit boring as there are times that all you can see is a flat road stretching in front of you for miles. But everything else is brilliant and it's fantastic PB potential. Date of review: May 5, 2013
