In short: friendly cheerful run In full: never ran as many as 6 laps but the friendly marshalls and atmosphere help a lot. decent goody bag to feed you at the end as well Date of review: April 12, 2015
In short: The marshalls were really encouraging and motivating - even call out our names out with encouragement. Second time I've done a UFD Hackney race and would definitely recommend! Date of review: April 12, 2015
In short: A friendly race - credit to the organisers In full: This is an enjoyable race, on paths around the border of Hackney Marshes (about 80% on tarmac, and 20% grass). The route is flat and quick. The run has a small, community feel: a highlight is the cheerful nature of organisers and marshalls.
I don't begrudge the entry fee (it isn't expensive as London races go), but given the quite low-key nature (no chip timing, no road closures etc) I'd rate it even higher if the fee was reduced to make it even more of a community event.
In short: Entertaining run In full: Six laps of mixed terrain , grass and Tarmac , good support from the Marshall's all the way round which makes up for the lack of local support
Feel good run that never dragged in even on the final lap , potential. PB course ,or a good course to just go with the flow and enjoy it Travelled four hundred miles to do it and wouldn't hesitate to do it agai. Date of review: September 5, 2014
In short: Friendly, flat and well organised In full: 2nd time for me, only this time I really hadn't been able to do the amount of training I should have done, so thought I would only make 3 or laps. Slow, but made it all the way, the usual friendly Marshalls, still a nice touch calling you by name. Two water stations a definite bonus. See you at the next one. Date of review: May 6, 2014
