In short: Small but perfectly formed
In full: What a glorious day for a run and what a great course! Undulating but no big hills, little bit of cross country mud to liven things up a bit but mostly sandy track or tarmac path so very quick. Was promised a PB by last years racers and was not disappointed! Great race, will be back next year

In short: Great to run through the Stowe grounds again, shame about the cost & distance
In full: This could be a really good event if the organisers decide to do it properly. The circuit through the Stowe grounds is beautiful and a trip down memory lane to my X-Country days.
The main criticism is the £15 on the day entry fee for what is, as the name suggests, basically a fun run. The lack of stewards on the course (the leaders went the wrong way at one point!) and even a Mars bar at the end left me slightly short-changed although unless more people support the event the money has to come from somewhere.
The unknown distance is irritating, especially when you feel you've run well, and it is surely not too difficult to measure the actual distance or to extend it to 10km. As others have said, the opening couple of "kms" are very tight and the race would need to move on to the main part of Stowe Ave if it ever got bigger.
It was nice however to take part in a race devoid of elite runners allowing us mere mortals to challenge the leaders and I'm sure I will be back next year.

In short: Local and Lovely
In full: Another cold Buckingham Fun Run but still, it's a good race. The 'short' 10k is still a disappointment though, as was the, very high on the day, entry fee. Should be better advertised to make it a bigger race, though the first part of Stowe Avenue would necessarily become too congested. Would have been good to have had more supporters on the route though. Still smiling at the end so see you next year!

In short: Great views, up and down.
In full: This is a good event with a small field. The route is hilly or undulating depending on your view (the uphill between 8k - 9k can be tough). The views around Stowe Gardens, a National Trust site, are terrific and make it worth doing. Thought I had been super quick then realised my watch showed the distance as 9.38k

In short: Almost there
In full: A nice course, with great views. Only let downs were: 1)Started early, and there was very little warning that it was about to start. 2)Narrow paths in the first 2 - 3 kms. Surely more of this stretch could have been on the adjacent road?
Overall, well organised, and gained a PB, so happy with that..

In short: Good, quite challenging and scenic course, but feels feels short!
In full: Did this for the first time on Sunday and enjoyed the course despite more gradients than I expected. Set a PB for the year bettering my previous week's time by over a minute which got me wondering about the length....and I have to say that first/last Km between the town and start of the park did feel short. But sod it - its a PB so I'll take it for now!

I also got caught out at the start and had to run out of the pub to join the back of the group just as the hooter sounded. Not ideal but I would do it again.
