In short: Good friendly run
In full: Nice weather, cold but dry. Friendly crowd and well organised. The hills don't get easier by the year.

In short: Well organised and reasonably testing run
In full: Well done and thank you to Barnsley AC for a well organised and marshalled run.

The rolling course made its way through Yorkshire farmland, making for a pleasant if unspectacular course. Having heard tales of the hills at the end and being prepared for them in my pacing I found myself undone early on by the incline around the 1 mile mark, coming into it too quickly from the fast start and paying later on with a slower than anticipated time.

I guess the ups and downs balance out so with better hill training and sensible pacing this could have been reasonably quick.

Overall a good race and worth the trip.

In short: Seemed more ups than downs, but a good race.
In full: One minute silence was reasonably well observed, although those at the back probably didn't hear the announcer. Should have used his megaphone. The race itself is challenging without being suicidal, and we appeared to be going uphill a lot more than we did down. Overall a very decent race and one for the calendar for next year.

In short: Good race and pb potential despite a few hills
In full: Enjoyed this race, good accurate mile markers and well organised. If I was being hyper critical, the start is a tad chaotic, quite narrow and lots of pushing and shoving. And too long hanging around waiting for presentation of the prizes afterwards. Nice to see portaloos this year.

In short: Great run with superb organisation
In full: Really enjoyed todays run. Got there early and everything ran like clockwork. The course is hilly especially at the end and it does test you. Will be back to try again next year. Thanks

In short: Well Organised, Challenging Race.
In full: Made a last minute decision to do this race as Running the Leeds Abbey Dash 10k the following week. But really glad I did on the back of a recommendation by club. This is a good 10k with a couple of decent hills to keep you honest at 4.5miles and just before 6 miles. Good Support from the locals and a nice pre race fun run for the kids. I had a massive PB to boot but again this is not as hilly as some of the races in and around the Huddersfield and Holmfirth circuits, so if you run round there this race is right up your street.
