In short: Worth doing just for the cakes!!!
In full: MY first time doing this event, the organisation was very professional and everything worked well. Was nice not to be kept waiting around to start. The marshalls were very friendly and I would like to say a big thank you for standing out there in that horrible rain. This is a fast and flat course but being next to the sea is at the mercy of the elements. The medal and the lovely cakes at the end made for a nice touch. See you next year!!!

In short: Very well organised race with upbeat marshalls a great medal and brill snacks. Very Wet though!
In full: The Bexhill Runners know what they're doing it has to be said. This is a well marshalled, brilliantly organised event. Everything from the website to the medals and T-shirt are top notch. The split time announcements were encouraging. My only beef is that, and this is very subjective, I don't really like multiple lap races - and 4 laps is 1-2 too many laps for me. Its just the way my minds works - its the same when I train. Despite the flatness of the course I was over 5 mins off my PB, but I put this down to carrying an Olympic swimming pools worth of rainwater with me for most of the race. All in all a great day for a good cause.

In short: A small race with a great seaside backdrop. Brilliant organisation and homemade cakes for runners at the end.
In full: This is a great race. Well organised, only about 500 participants so it's not too busy. The run along the sea is very picturesque, although was very wet yesterday. I was so waterlogged and cold by the end of it but ran a great PB so it was enjoyable overall. Loved the community feel and the cakes, tea and bacon roll at the end were genius.

In short: Very well organised, flat course, amazing cakes!
In full: A very well organised event, and the marshals were superb. The guy on the tannoy did a great job - hearing your lap splits being called out was really motivating. A fast, flat course and a strong field with about a fifth of the runners under 1:40. The rain was very heavy, but the winds stayed down, so no complaints at all. The quality of the cakes at the end made all the pain worthwhile!

In short: An excellent event!
In full: Well organised. Wonderfully encouraging marshals. Good value, with great t-shirt and medal. Sweets en route and cakes at the end were much appreciated. The course was pretty good too. Not much could be done about the shocking weather. The last half I did was Run to the Beat which was terrible on every count so it was great to be reassured that there are lots of really fantastic races to take part in.. well done Bexhill. Well worth the drive from London.

In short: Superb organisation, friendly and fast course!
In full: I agree with all the previous comments. Shame about the weather, but at least it wasn't freezing or windy on top of the torrential rain. Marshalls were fantastic and very encouraging ....I did the Bexhill 10k a couple of months ago and Bexhill really put on well organised races. Medal is superb! Oh, and the update on your lap times was great ... nice touch.

In short: Enjoyable run despite the weather!
In full: This was mine and my boyfriend's second half marathon and despite being completely soaked by the buckets of rain we really enjoyed it. We both did it faster than our previous race, the event was very well organized, everyone was friendly, and the run along the seafront was very pretty. The tea and cakes at the end were also very appreciated! I would definitely recommend this to people who are new to running half's like myself, as the course is virtually flat, it's a bit less daunting. Well done to the marshals, they were all very encouraging, I can't imagine how cold and wet they must have been!

In short: 4 Laps of Speed!
In full: A really good half marathon & just about enough of an interesting route not to get too bored given the repetitive laps. Though it rained hard, there was little wind so times I suspect were not really slower. I entered late so applied under a charity place. Bit expensive, but then my fault in not sending my application form in earlier! Great cakes at the end.

In short: Great Marshaling, Great Cause, Great Free Sugary Snacks at the end!
In full: A BIG THANK YOU is due to the many brave souls that marshaled this great event,it was very well organized and being my first half marathon having only taken up running and 10k events this year the sweet treats and free cakes sorted out my dizzy spell after completion....
may i suggest a donation bin in the cake tent/race HQ to add to the £2,000 the event raised (Nice Flapjack!)
