In short: A really good undulating course which can challenge your time splits
In full: Overall a good race, only spoilt by hoardes of racing cyclists who didn't want to respect an annual race. The countryside is great, especially on the back leg going past Ashridge House.

In short: Tough race, but beautiful scenery
In full: Third time having done this race, and scenery is fantastic - always felt it was slightly easier than Watford, but 40 seconds slower this year, and found it quite tough. Would be improved by chip timing, but all the rest was excellent - and I quite like a medal! (and an orange!!)

In short: A well organised race with a good atmosphere amongst the runnerss
In full: This is a good race on a very nice course. It has two proper hills and some smaller inclines to navigate but the downhills are sufficiently gentle to make up time. A p.b. for me so a good day out. Thanks to all the marshalls for their efforts.

There are a few tweaks that I hope the organisers will consider for next year:
- chip timing
- the race website should have up to date information including news items
- more control of traffic: in a couple cases there were cars, runners and groups of cyclists with no marhalls around
- bananas instead of oranges at the end :-)

In short: Great half marathon to start off the spring calendar.
In full: A reminder of the need for hill training and then maintaining pace on the flatter sections. The course has a few testing points along the up hill way, but tips downwards (mostly!) from mile 9. This makes for a rewarding and uplifting feeling as you finish, knowing it wasnt just another dull lap around a park. Friendly banter and encouraging runners added to make this a definate 'do it again'.

In short: Now that's what I call Undulations!
In full: +ve: Nice scenery, especially countryside views and Ashridge Estate, decent marshalling and organisation, enough water stops, efficient bag storage/retrieval, predicted time markers at start (though these weren't mentioned in the handout)
-Ve: Event was sold out in advance, but no notice on website (more regular updates please), no chip timing (chips next year please?), fair value for money, but boring medal (I like t-shirts!), tough going for novice or anyone seeking a PB
Will be back new year - I really enjoyed the race

In short: Great Half Marathon! Very scenic with some testing hills. Organisationn much improved on last year
In full: This is one of my favourite half-marathon's and despite several hills it has PB potential. I did it last year and the orgainsation let it down a bit. This year it was clear the orgainser's had listened to feedback. The baggage facilities were more effecient and the water stations were fully manned. A really enjoyable and friendly race. I love the downhill finish!
