In short: Starts out easy.....
In full: Tough mix of slopes and proper hills. The first 3 miles are gently uphill and an easy way to warm up, but no matter what the wind direction the course loop means at some point you must run at least 2 miles into headwind. A great race that takes more out of you than you'd think.

In short: A very tough course but lovely scenery and fantastic organisation.
In full: This is definately the hardest, hilliest half I have done, made worse by the wind. I was thrilled with 2nd female but a little disappointed not to get a prize. That said I will be back next year, aiming for 1 better!

In short: Fantastic organisation, well done Clowne!
In full: The toughest course I have done, undualating/hilly is spot on and yes I ache in new places! The scenery and bright sunshine made up for the hills.

Extremely well organised, excellent marshalling, well manned water/sponge stations with bottles, great crowd support and a fab t-shirt at the end.

Many thanks to everyone who helped with the organisation of this race.

In short: my first and will definitely be back again
In full: in short a superb race. yes probably biased as i did get a pb, but the organisation was excellent. great marshalling, water stations, start, finish, toilets, and a t-shirt i will use again in trainig! ok some of the course did have traffic in both directions, but a bit of common sense on the parts of pedestrians and runners is all that is needed in these circumstances, and that's what happened here - indeed its actually quite nice to know that the health and safety do-gooders havent spoiled this. And thanks to the community centre (especially the lovely polite young boys at the counter!) for their post race bacon butties, flapjacks and coffee...probably not the ideal post race nosh, but after pb in gail force conditions, i deserved it!!!

In short: A tough race, mentally and physically, great support, good value
In full: I got great support- am a nearby club member but thanks anyway, a miracle of organisation as its all on public roads. Great value nice to see running clubs still doing races,u don't need chips and pins, just a clipboard. Good qual t shirt advertising an insurer, guess that's what keeps it all going, nice to see the Police are not driving this race off the calender with costs and risk assessments nice one, keep up the good work Clowne
