In short: Well organised race, good for a PB
In full: The course is flat but exposed, which can make it hard work in places on a windy day like today. Organisation was great, apart from the location of some of the km markers as someone else already mentioned. However, I use a Garmin for taking splits so it wasn't a problem.

In short: Very well organised, fast course but strong winds this year.
In full: Very well organised race as usual from Alchester on what can be a fast course if the wind behaves - which it didn't today!
Only critiscism today was the km markers - they were a long way out in places, with splits coming out very erratically as a result (eg 4:22 followed by 3:08!. 2&3, then 5,6&7 were the worst.

In short: Fast, flat and excellent organization. What more could you want!
In full: I always look forward to this race, the the folk at Alchester didn't disappoint once again. Faultless organization and an army of enthusiastic marshalls make this one of the most enjoyable events of the year. And this is despite the dreaded headwinds on the airfield!

In short: Excellent well run fast 10k
In full: Great organisation. Easy parking and good venue with plenty of loos and changing rooms and warm showers. Really well marshalled. Last bit of the airfield section hard going into headwind but still managed a PB.

In short: well organised, friendly and flat.
In full: A lovely little club race with great marshalls in an ideal race venue. There were plenty of changing rooms with showers. I'm glad I decided to do this despite recovering from illness.
My only criticism is that because the timing board starting pens were not close to the start, everyone got a bit jumbled and the latecomers ended up at the back. I ended up being pushed forward and had to literally stop before the line to start at the back.

Other reviews imply that virtually the whole race is on the airfield. In fact the first 4k is through the village and the last km also on country lanes. The finish line is right next to the clubhouse so there's plenty of support for the backmarkers.

In short: Not that scenic, but high standard runners, well organised club run
In full: The race was fast, well organised although the start was a little confusing.
Nice start along country roads, then over the M40 (complete with noise and pollution), along a bit and then into a large airfield for some windswept, featureless kms.
Not really a great scenic experience, but the marshalls were encouraging and plentiful.
Might be back again, as the standard of the run was excellent, but prob. not

In short: Excellent organisation and a nice fast race
In full: An excellent race, well organised and all that you could want from a December event. Somewhere nice and warm to gather before and after the race in the sports hall, car parking only a few minutes walk away, a nice T-shirt and a pretty flat route.
Very friendly race - as demonstrated by the kind person who handed in my car key after I had lost it. That saved me from a major panic! THANK YOU!
The decision to put the start time back to 10.30 was a good one, although no frost this year it's a sensible move to give the course time to thaw out if there is a frost.
One piece of constructive criticism, as we gathered in the field before the start I couldn't hear the chap making his announcement. Maybe a mega phone for next year to help?
I look forward to entering next year.
