In short: Great race, well-organised and fair weather!
In full: Took a little longer than I had hoped but great sense of achievement for my first ½ marathon. All to aim for in next year's event.

In short: Excellent organisation and well supported
In full: Starting and finishing on the Hoe help make this one of the better races on the calender. Superbly marshalled and well supported, especially on the climb to Stag Lodge.

In short: Well organised. Interesting and varied course.
In full: Superb event, well organised and marshalled. Very enthusiastic crowd. Great support all round the course. Some challenging parts. But the best bit has to be the start and finish on Plymouth Hoe every last competitor is treated like an elite runner.

In short: Fantastic race. Great organisation, great support , great fun.
In full: A great race over a challenging course. good support around the route from the folk of Plymouth. finish was excellent the runners only area was a real winner allowing a bit of chillout time and the opportunity for a pasty or 2 or 3.
Best event I've done and will be back to fight my way up the finishing hill past the citadel again next year!

In short: Oh I do like to be beside the seaside!
In full: Plymouth never disappoints, the atmosphere is fantastic, the support superb and the goody bag stuffed - and I say that as someone who had a dreadful race this year with heat, dehydration and Lucozade combining for an unforgettable experience for all the wrong reasons!
The truly marvellous thing about Plymouth though has to be the finish. You've just puffed up the Citadel and rounded the corner on to the Hoe to be greeted by the most stunning views of Plymouth Sound and the deafening roar of the crowd; as you cross the line you are quickly funelled into the athletes exclusion zone where regardless of your finish time you are treated like an elite with a fantastic array of refreshments and the chance to soak up the glorious views whilst deciding what to eat first. There is also the added bonus that if you can get close enough you can sit in comfort chomping your pasty whilst watching all the other poor sods slogging up the hill - there is no better feeling!
