In short: My First Half and makes we want more :-)
In full: The organisation was very good (Especially for a Club WELL DONE Knavesmire Harriers), and the marshalls need a special mention as they GREAT, lots of encouraging the runners all the way round. Even crossing the line it was organisation at its best, and a good goodie bag, even a choice of colour of Sweat Shirt!!!

Once well done to Knavesmire Harriers and all involved.

In short: Fantastic race with superb organisation.
In full: I thought the organisation was second to none and the marshalls need a special mention as they where encouraging and magnificent all the way round. Thank you very much for a fantastic race.

In short: Fabulous race on my doorstep - I wish there were more
In full: I totally agree with everything the others have said about this event. My only gripe is that there were too many people hemmed into such a short space on the start line. I do not see why the organisers could not move the times further apart to reflect the increased numbers. I spent over five minutes in a closter phobic situation worse than sardines in a can. People that should have been further back had put themselves forward and quite a few people had to start outside of the pens and then dive in at the last minute to go over the chip timing mat which was dangerous. I think next year Knavemire should spread the distances out more.

Saying all that... fab race and I really enjoyed every other bit of it.

In short: Great organisation, great venue, fast course
In full: The main challenge is getting a place as the race sells out very very quickly. Facilities (at York racecourse) and organisation are excellent. The route itself is out and back with a loop, flat but fairly dull and with sparse support. But, if you want a good test after the holiday season and the opportunity of a PB then the Brass Monkey is the perfect excuse to brave the cold weather.

In short: Fast, Flat and Organised
In full: Fast, flat course, although rather dull the PB potential makes this a winner. Organisation was fantastic, the marshalls friendly and supportive and I managed a magnificant 25 mins of my previous 1/2 marathon PB so I'm not complaining!!!

In short: Cheeky Monkey
In full: All race organisers should learn from this event. Sensational organisation from entry to finish line and beyond. Great route, great goody bag, great marshalls. Thank you to everyone from Knavesmire Harriers, you are all legends. I hope I'm lucky enough to get in for my 4th go next year.
