In short: Well organised, friendly race
In full: This was my third time doing the Harvel 5 and I hope I'll be back next year. It's so well organised, with a lovely family atmosphere and a scenic route.
The marshalls are very encouraging and everyone seems genuinely happy to be there, as was I!

In short: Fantastic race, fantsastic location!
In full: Having entered the race quite late, I received a very nice email from the organisers with a race pack and race instructions attached.

No probs with parking or the start of the race. It was, however, quite congested towards the back this year due to increase in numbers. Good support throughout the race and a couple of water stations in the middle which were great.

After running through some woods, there's a steep ascent followed by a very fast last mile to the finish. The finish area was good. Being on a village green there was coffee, ice cream, beer, burgers etc for people to enjoy once they'd finished.

Lovely atmosphere with beautiful scenery. A great race!

In short: Super race!
In full: Second time running this one, and knocked 2 minutes off last years time. Great, mainly flat course where you can really give it your all, especially on the last mile. Great day in general, happy friendly people everywhere!!!

In short: Country fete-feel on the village green when you start, nice Kent countryside during the run. All good.
In full: I can't class myself as a runner in any real sense. I took part in this race for the first time in 2008 after being challenged to do it by a work contact who is a club runner. Enjoyed it so much that I've now run it 3 times, and it has got me into running for enjoyment. As a beginner, I've never felt out of place at this event.
