In short: Hardest first 2k I've ever run! In full: I went to get a bacon butty, an hour before the race, and the lady serving said that I would be wasting my money, as I would throw up before I got to the top of the hill.
I'm just glad that I took her advice ! Very steep, and long hill at the start, but worth the views at the top..
Well organised race, although probably not one for a first timer as very hilly and demanding.
Nice T shirt (bit on the large side), and hand made mug.
I was aiming to get under 1 hour, official time 1.00.01.....
In short: Challenging Run In full: It lives up to its name. Hills straight from the 1st km. Fantastic organisation and very efficient. Friendly runners and race hq. Marshalls could have been a little more encouraging on the course. Mixture of byways and roads, which were a little uneven. Challenging on the heart and ankles. Great race though, will be back. In short: As new comers to hill running this was a really good, demanding race. The beautiful scenery and friendly atmosphere made it a special race, and one I'd be keen to do again! Date of review: May 13, 2006
In short: a scenic and pleasant route with a few hills In full: a nice run that takes you UPHILL towards the white horse and then along by salisbury plain with a few more smaller hills and takes you down into Bratton, well organised friendly run Date of review: May 13, 2006
