In short: Challenging multi-terrain race.
In full: Excellent event. Superb course: tough, well marshalled & scenic. Good range of terrain & some proper inclines, particularly the one on the 4th/5th mile.

In short: Tough this is a fantastic race with some lovely scenery!
In full: 2010 was my second time and it is definitely a course that is easier (or less difficult) when you have run it before. This was my favourite race last year (which was my first year of club running) and today was even more enjoyable. You keep thinking you have done with the hills then another comes but after 8-9 miles that really is it and if you've anything left it's a fast flat finish! Good organisation, relatively 'no frills' yet still has a great goody bag. It is tough but well worth the effort for the scenery and atmosphere.

In short: Tough but great fun.
In full: Very tough running (walking!), some BIG hills (Trooper an absolute killer), single file at several points and treacherous underfoot in parts. Go expecting it to be tough and come back thinking it was even tougher! A must if you like that sort of thing.
Really good scenery with brilliant views over Halifax and then running among the bluebells through the woods. Great fun crossing the river at the end.
Bit close to the traffic at points but only briefly. Communication in the build up could have been better but overall great race, great value. First time for me, aching now but i'll be back next year.

In short: One of our favourite races.
In full: Extremely well organised, superb marshalls, a great varied course - this is the 3rd time we've done the Bluebell and look forward to it every year. Also, many thanks to the superb physio team for pinpointing a problem I have, and giving me stretches to combat it.
