In short: A very lovely day with a group of horses running in a field alongside as though they were joining in the race,! A site that will not be forgotten in a long time! Great day with great people!!

In short: My first 10K race and it left me with mixed feelings. Organisation could have been better, very good mix of people.
In full: The friendly people in the race made this a good day out. This was brought out when queueing for the loo, only four loo's with nearly 400 people there, not good. Loads of people used their warm up run to find a secluded tree!!

There also seems to be some concern over the actual distance. Some-one with GPS measured the course at just over 11K, which explains all the slow times people got. Can anyone confirm this???

Generally a flat course with a couple of humps here and there. One of the really scary things was the cattle grids!! I'm surprised some-one didn't do themselves an injury on these!!! I noticed a few people slipping and sliding!!

All that aside I still enjoyed the race and the day out, thanks to all involved and anyone who said Hi to me!!

In short: nice scenery but nasty hills at the end
In full: Entered on the day which was quick and easy. Was scenic ad slightly muddy. The hill at the end was a struggle especially the second time round and the whole race seemed more than 10k. Enjoyable all the same.

In short: Over 10k but an enjoyable race
In full: Very scenic and enjoyable race but let down a bit by the start being a bit chaotic, no distance markers or water stations, and no published results.....and it was definitely more than 10k !!

In short: Muddy, with hill at end and longer than10K
In full: Lovely setting, cant say it was uplifiting due to the mud, ice pools and bugger of a hill at the end of each lap. Over 10k - according to my watch/gps 11k so forget PB's. Not happy being passed by a bloke in stockings, blonde wig and false boobs! Will take batteries for the starter next time.

In short: Muddy but rewarding experience. This was certainly longer than the 10km advertised
In full: Huge queue for the toilets at the beginning was the only thing that spoiled it for me so in the end opted for the woods like many others. No waterstation either until the end. Would do it again and i'll bring some XC trainers next time !

In short: Leave your watch at home, because the laps are more like 6km, making time irrelevant. Also, watch out for the big hill right at the end, when you're already starting to realise that you've already run at least 5.5km!
In full: Lovely atmosphere. Starters megaphone really could do with batteries, or just someone with a loud voice (anyone here the prize giving announcement? No? Neither did the prize winners!!!). A lot of beginners, but a lovely atmosphere, supportative and friendly. And they didn't run out of water this year either! Infact, they had so much left over they were deseperately trying to get rid of it, which is impressive compared to most similar races.

In short: Better event than my individual scores probably suggest - very enjoyable!
In full: Nice surroundings and great crowd, both running and supporting. Check lap distance (closer to 6km than 5) and watch for small hill at the end (feels bigger after 2 laps!). Bring spare batteries for starter's megaphone.

In short: Entered expecting a Multi Terrain mud fest, very disappointed! Flat metalled road mixed with firm bridle -path.
