In short: Overrated race.
In full: This is a massively overrated race.

Dull course. Lack of atmosphere. Poor facilities. And ridiculously overpriced.

The race isn't actually ran by running folk but country toffs. And it sadly shows.

In short: Cracking course but the starter was a bit off
In full: This was a cracking race other than a few minor problems at the start. Chips in the post or don't bother with them and tannoy facing the runners (volume up to 11 please mr speaker) and it will be sorted for next year.
The course definitely has PB potential, and the free snacks and shoe trophy were a nice touch.
Only 1 Michael Winner star this year but will be back next year to try again.

In short: Excellent course for a beginner.
In full: I would say this is a perfect race for a beginner (like me, my second half) because the course has no major hills, just gentle ups and downs. Lovely countryside though picturesque villages with a most enjoyable bacon butty at the end. I thought the organisation was very good, ok a little delay, but no major problems. Will be back!

In short: Fast Course, great conditions
In full: Could not have been any better for a PB race, flat course combined with ideal running conditions. Interesting course and 1/2 mile markers really do help! Friendly race, could have done without the delay at the start in terms of preparation and the onus should really be on people to get there in good time! Will be there next year!

In short: Lovely scenery but rather too hilly for a PB.
In full: Hilliness, lack of atmosphere and roadside support made it a poor PB potential race. Marshalls seemed thin on the ground and I was rather confused at the very end which entrance to take to get to the finish. First drink station should have been nearer. Cups were a good idea as they do not cause as much hazard when discarded on roadside as bottles do.

Liked the half mile markers. Broke up the miles so that each one seemed shorter.

In short: Good course with PB potential. A come back to event
In full: Have done this before and always enjoy it. It's a shame that timing chips were not sent out with numbers as the queing for the timing chips caused a 15 minute delay to the start. apart from that the organisation was as good as ever. Back again next year.

In short: Well done Ian and co
In full: Third time of running and another great experience although I couldnt remember the little upward 'pulls'.

Delayed start not an issue but the PA wasnt loud enough to carry to the assembled runners so we didnt know what was going on.

The shoe, showers (I found them) and sports massage afterwards were a good touch and how quick were the times out afterwards!!!

One final thing - the seeded start. Not sure if its needed but would it be better to seed the sub 1hr40 a little more? Maybe a sub 1hr30 and a sub 1hr20 too? Would maybe just ease the bottleneck at the bottom of the field for the super swift!!

Well done one and all
