In short: A toughie but rewarding! In full: A bit difficult to find, we parked nearly a mile away which meant a brisk walk to the start and thankfully the race started a bit late. Great atmosphere, we felt very welcome as independent first-timers. Yes the long hill was a killer - twice!- but something to improve on for next year. Perhaps the markers could be either accurate (3 miles done or remaining?) or removed to avoid confusion. Very friendly and encouraging marshalls, thank you. Date of review: July 26, 2008

In short: A throughly pleasant way to spend a Friday evening. In full: This is a challenging course but great fun, having the band/bar at hand at the finish was excellent. Date of review: October 15, 2007

In short: Disappointing course. In full: As I was on holiday from the Fens I was expecting a scenic route. Unfortunately this did not materialise which was disappointing and we had to go round twice, which included the 'big' hill - hard for someone from the flatlands! Nice momento though. In short: Nice glass shame about the route In full: C'mon, Shipley Park has some brill routes, so why did you opt for the (now defunct) American Adventure car park? I know, you wanted to test us on that hill. Twice. Date of review: July 31, 2007

In short: Excellent local event In full: Entered on the night and found the whole event excellent.
The course has a challenging climb, made tougher because it's two laps, but it does mean a nice downhill towards the finish.
Pleased with the souvenir glass/tumbler, something different to a medal/t-shirt.
Nothing negative to say Date of review: July 27, 2007

In short: A challenging 2 laps with a great Country feel In full: This was my first ever race so a PB for me but it's not to be attempted without any hill work having been done. 2 very challenging hills that saw the majority of the beginners walk only to be repeated on lap 2. Friendly and well orginised, a nice senic run taking you around the outskirts of the American Adventure Theme Park. Very family friendly. Date of review: July 31, 2006
