In full: Excellent race: start/finish location is perfect with a very welcome open air pool, lovely route with plenty of shade, friendly marshals, plenty of water stations with a bonus one laid on and car parking was run very professionally and the walk clearly advised. Highly recommended.

In short: A great race even on a very hot day
In full: As others have noted this was a vfery hot day for a race so times were never going to be great. That said, the race was as good as you are going to get for the conditions - a shaded rural course with plenty of water stations (including an extra one yesterday - which was a sign of the organisers doing what they could in the conditions.

All of the normal good features of this race were also present, the superb start/ finish location provided by the school, adequate toilets and plentifual parking. Although the walk to the car park is long this is clearly described on the accompanying instructions, you just have to believe them when they say it is a 20 minute walk to the start, it is.

Certainly an excellent race as always and well done to the organisers for doing what they could to mitigate the heat.

In short: A nice run in the woods
In full: Held on the hottest day of the year in 2012 but it is August ... Extra water was laid on, which is a sign of alert organizers. Great two-lap course with ups and downs but no brutal climbs, and plenty of shade in the woods. Superb organization, especially the baggage stow (important for non-motorists like me). Lovely start venue with lots of space and a pool for those who like a post-race dip (not bothered myself but there were plenty doing this). Done this one many times and will be back.

In short: Hot and a bit hilly. But more shade and less traffic than you are likely to get anywhere else.
In full: A half marathon in August is unlikely to be chilly. There was plenty of water available and I guess you just have to do the best you can in the heat! The organisation was great. I just felt a bit sorry for the Mars bars at the finish, which seemed to be suffering in the heat more than the runners. Thank you Burnham Joggers.

In short: Great organisation, apart from picking the hottest day of the year for it!
In full: The heat was a killer today - I went off aiming for a new PB and only sustained the pace I wanted for the first 5 miles, then lost momentum altogether, as did a lot of others by the sound of it. A good number of water stations, though there were still a few guys collapsing from dehydration. On a cooler day, this would have been lovely, but as it was, I just wanted it to be over and became a lot less bothered about my time after a while.

In short: Superb run
In full: I especially want to thank the marshalls and the medical staff who helped me when I had to drop out after 3 miles with a sore knee. I was very well looked after.

In short: hilly and pretty; favourite of club-runners, so very quick field
In full: No portaloos on the day, which is criminal. The organisers blamed the suppliers, but only water stations are more important than loos, so they should have had 100% certainty of them being there. Water stations could have been more frequent especially given the warm weather. Course officials were all really friendly. Totally rural, so no crowds. But roads opened after 2 hours -- this is a quick run because of all the club runners.

In short: Very nearly spot on & still very good.
In full: Nearly up to it`s old standard - but handled well I think (Loud speaker could of been louder), apart from that it`s a fine event. Course is excellent, parking is good (the walk eases off the legs), the use of the pool is just great. Well done.

In short: A tough but worthwhile half
In full: Harder going then I expected and the 2 laps really push you, but at least you know what to expect, actually enjoy the finish, nice finally being able to see the finish, well organised and thank you to the marshalls for being out there on a miserable morning. Well done BJ.
