In short: The hills made it tricky but generally a good race
In full: The roads were in the main quiet but I can see the traffic on some sections could prove a problem. The hills were tricky and being a 2 lap course it did mean doing them twice. Overall a good race and very well organised.

In short: Nice hill after the start. Lot's of traffic and lot's of footpath running.
In full: It's such a rural area so you might think you are going to have a chance to run some nice quite coutry lanes but insted maybe only around 20% of the course is on such sort of road with not to much traffic. The footpath section is quite long and was also combined with some issues related to the close by growing trees... (spot the knob...) anyway worth a trip - Bath and Bristol are close by. Was a good day as I got a good time despite the mentioned hill after the start.

In short: Hard work - but well worth it!
In full: Excellent organisation, efficient marshals, supportive locals - and a nice memento. Don't expect a PB - yes, there are downhill sections but that double hill will take it out of your legs - but a very enjoyable experience. Superb massage facilities at the end. I'll be back.

In short: First Half Marathon I have done with a small field - learnt how to race today, and came 17th which is fab for me!
In full: The hill at mile 1 and mile 7 was great fun on the first lap and made me wobble on the second, but the marshalls were fantastic and there were plenty of water stops. Managed to the first two 5K sections and the last 5K section in about 20.20 each, but down to just over 22 for the third 5K when that hill kicked in second time around. That said, was ONLY six seconds off my PB from Bath this year, and thats a flat course! Will do this one again. Loved the memento too!

In short: Well run and now at a great venue too!
In full: Well marshalled at every corner and junction. One hill and one climb done twice as the course is two laps. Excellent parking and very, very enthusiastically staffed. Well done. See you next year!

In short: Great Race - one hill that is not too bad when you get to the top.
