In short: A tough race for sure but great views to take your mind off the hills.
In full: Really enjoy this race, friendly atmosphere and encouraging marshalls. Makes such a difference when they're obviously runners themselves. Jelly babies a nice surprise just before half way and massage at the end cleared the cramping in my legs.

In short: This good after only 3 attempts, can't wait until next year
In full: Well organised with some excellent views, nice to run through some back lanes and also to be challenged on the hills. With the friendly marshals and the free sports massage made the event very welcoming. I’ll be back next year.

In short: scenic, tough but enjoyable with the most friendliest marshalls
In full: The glorious weather helped with the day but i would imagine that any rain or wind would take away some of the atmosphere. The marshalls were all so friendly and encouraging;- Thankyou. well organised, nice to have a pre and post run massage.

In short: Three Hilly Halves in the "bag" and they just keep getting better - one day I will run all the way up Kilcott
In full: Sunday meant a difficult decision. FLM schedule said a 20 mile run, some ran on Saturday and came to support or officiate on the day. One decided it couldn't be missed, ran the race and then tacked on another 7 miles - yes that was me some of you saw running back the other way. The race is that good!!!

In short: This is one of those runs that make you realise how lucky we are to live in this country.
In full: They caused a ship to go aground so the Grizzly was postponed. They changed the weather from last weekends wind and rain to a pleasant spring day.
So, of course, as you would expect the Hogweeds put on another great event for the 3rd consecutive year.
A great run around pleasant country lanes on the edge of the Cotswolds. As promised, there were a few inclines. Some runs would need those inclines to take away the boredom of the event. Not this one. It has great scenery all the way and it has great marshals – very vocal and very supportive. I’m not sure “You are looking good” was true – but it was supportive!
This is one of those runs that make you realise how lucky we are to live in this country.
The Hilly Half and the Grizzly will continue being my favourite events. Hopefully next year the Hogweeds don’t cause so much damage to our coastline to ensure I can take part in both.
Thanks Hogweeds for another great one!

In short: Hardcore Racing at it it's best, like a hard multiterrain without the mud, with glorious scenery, with an uplifting atmosphere
In full: This was a great race, excellent organisation, With Friendly encouraging Marshalls and a very accurately measured course, you know where you are with this race, and if you read the literature before the race, you would have known exactly when all the hills and water stations were coming. I had an excellent day, My thanks to the race director Bob Bell and all the other organisers for putting on this great race.

In short: Killcott Hill. The horror, the horror
In full: As I Hogweed myself I feel I need to justify giving this a good write up or other "Race raters" may think I am Bias so here are the plus points in no particular order. Scenery, Hills (You were all warned so no excuses or moaning about them), Jelly Babies, plenty of water stations, Worlds shortest marshalls (Well dogs in marshalls jackets) Welcoming cuddly toy - I believe it was one of the muppets - in Hawkesbury, amusing Hogweed territory signs, entrants details at HQ & Loud speaker for supporters to know who you are prior to finishing. Does help a lot when complete strangers know your name & cheer you on at the end, Goodie bag with the main goodie being the bag itself - kit bag - makes a welcome change from the usual medal/t-shirt. Tea, cakes, rolls, free massage. Negative point - I have a sore toe (middle one on the right foot to be more precise)
