In short: Undulating Half with good organisation great prep for a marathon
In full: Did this last year they have changed the course some of the tracks are not even under foot. Nice atmosphere good day out. Still get a few 'non' runners turn up for their once a year exercise and get in the way of the runners who DONT want to walk a half. Nice finish very worried about people collapsing hmmm

In short: Brilliant race as always
In full: It would be good to have the same course year on year for comparisons sake but the course probably was better this year - although it did not feel any flatter through the legs!

The organisation was excellent. The atmosphere was a little down on previous years with less bands .. around the course but that is not major.

The run was very congested all the way round - more so than last year.

In short: Great atmosphere, got a PB
In full: The weather could not of been better. slightly windy in places, helped to take the edge of the heat. first 4-5 miles difficult to get into a rhythm due to the crowds. I ran the 1/2 marathon and felt that it was well marshalled through out. water stations well manned and spectator support was great, the run through wollington part was a little tight but didn't slow me down.

I will be back again next year

In short: All went like clockwork.
In full: As usual getting the right place in the line up was hit and miss but got to the start in 3 minutes. Undulating first half included some short steep climbs which broke the pace up a bit.

Second half circuit featured a long stint exposed to the wind around holme pierpont water sports centre but by that stage hardly noticed.

Will be back in 2008.

In short: Great Half-Marathon for beginners
In full: This was my second half-marathon and I can definitely recommend it for beginners like myself. I managed a PB despite the hilly bits and getting stuck behind slower paced runners on the narrow bits. Good organisation, and thankfully lots of water stations. Only mistake was staying in the Comfort Inn the night before - earplugs and a love of Faulty Towers required!
