In short: Wonderful, once again
In full: This is the first marathon I have been tempted to do more than once and I was not disapointed on this second outing. Even the freezing cold wind over Beachy Head couldn't ruin it for me. Excellent organisation and the most fantastic marshalls. It's undoubtedly a tough one but very special.

In short: exellent all round as usual - in spite of the weather!
In full: great race as always with plenty of sustinance on the way round! Found it very hard this year - 25min slower than usual! Strongest wind I can remember in 12 years of doing Beachy! Went way over5hrs for 1st time ever! Will be back next year though!

In short: BLIMEY!
In full: Magnificent experience, tough as they come, especially with a gale force wind that had needles in it (well that's what if felt like). Mars bars, hot cross buns and tomato soup kept my spirits up. The elevation profile on my Garmin connect screen looks like the Himalayas. A must do once at least race. Can't sign off without mentioning the superb marshals, thank you so much.

In short: Wonderful race, hilly and beautiful, friendly and inclusive
In full: It's certainly hilly, but the terrain is good throughout and the hills are never too long. The most challenging aspect was the icy rain (was it hail??) with 45mph wind on Beachy Head itself. Encouraged me to run faster though!!
Lovely marshals, and lots of them too, no chance of a wrong turn. Soup at one checkpoint v welcome. The scenery was truly outstanding and I can't wait to do it again. I'd say add 25% to your road time though.

In short: 5 time for me love this one :)
In full: This was the 5th time for me and it is one of my favourite races...I am not a front runner and love this one as it is hard but fun....the only shame this year is that the mars bars and juice had already run out when I got to the stations when I spoke with the marshalls about this they informed me that they had not been given the normal numbers.....as there were plently of walkers behind me who would still need to rely on the stations it was a shame....the first station that had a mars bar was the 22mile station... could the organisers look into this as we had paid the same money as the front runners.....that is my only moan if I had of known that I couldn't rely on the stations I would have been more prepared......the marashalls where fantastic as normal well done to you all....will be back next year :)

In short: My love affair with Beachy continues
In full: In testing conditions this year it was still an amazing experience. The organisation is brilliant at this event (although we did encounter a few of the water stations hoarding the food they had been given to hand out, what was that about?) the route is stunning and challenging and fellow participants chatty and encouraging.

But the highest words of appreciation must go to the marshals who gave up their day to stand in freezing winds and rain for our benefit. You were all amazing.

In short: a beautiful beast of a run!
In full: First time for me - and thanks to guy who put a film of last year's race on YouTube...helped me to prepare. I'd recommend this event as a "must do" but don't underestimate it! My thanks to all each and everyone who organised, marshalled and cared & fed us...the sausage rolls in particular were fab!

In short: A tough marathon made even tougher!! But then it is Beachy Head
In full: This was my fourth outing at BH and once again it had everything. Every year I come back as its one of my favorites and the weather and conditions each year are different too. This year we had minus temperature wind chill to contend with and wind so strong it could stop you in your tracks, but will I be back to see whats in store for next year? You bet.
