In short: A good starter race, on the day quite hard but that was due to the strong winds. Overall a good run.
In full: This was my first full organized run, and apart from the weather on the day it was a really good one. It's a great starter run. It would probably be much more enjoyable in better weather, maybe better in the spring not the winter for this run, as some of it is along the water front, making winds really tough on you. Apart from that a good run.

In short: Lousy medal, no water at the end, finish point not clear
In full: I know the weather cannot be helped - second year it has been too windy for a PB. Drinks at the end, difficult to find, and then found a table with an empty urn and no one around to supply drinks.

In short: Flat, scenic, good organisation - only the weather could spoil it!
In full: This is a well organised race with a great opportunity to set a PB - only not when there's a gale-force headwind for the last mile. Definitely recommended.

In short: Fast flat course (ignoring the gales)
In full: This is a well organised, traffic free, flat race. The start was much improved from last year, no cones to trip over this time. Footpath around IBM was much less flooded than last year too. Friendly officials, the supervisors in the bag room were particularly friendly and efficient. Only downer is running into the wind from about miles 3.5 and 4.5, but I still managed a PB, found it nice to get some extra speed in the parts where the wind was blowing us along!

In short: The wind is a killer, slows you right down if you dont carry the weight
In full: A Very well marshalled race, thanks for that. The race is suicidal though with that wind. The medal is a waste of space.
ARE There showers to be taken at the end?

In short: The weather played a big part, well done to the marshalls that braved the wind and rain. Medal is a waste of space, but not overly concerned about that.

In short: 'twas a shame about the wind.
In full: The wind spoilt this for me, particularly running into the headwind in the last mile, this halted my progress of running through the field. I was annoyingly overtaken by a couple of smaller runners who had much less surface area for the wind to blow against.

There was also flooding on some of the course, with puddles to negotiate. The pavement seemed to be quite cracked up in places, why don't the council address this?

All in all I was quite dissapointed with this race. I'll only run it again if the weather is forecast to be good, as it is a PB course on a calm day.
