In short: how could you ever knock a race where they give you beer??
In full: 1st time I've done this since 2007, course has changed a little but no problem with that as it moves the finish from a quagmire of a field. Though the start area was a bit of a squash when the bus wanted to come through!!
Found the race to be easier than I'd remembered last time, managed to keep going all the way up Withenshaw and then let the hills do all the work going down :)
Will definitely be back next time

In short: Not as tough as I remembered
In full: To summarize: My memory of the 2 mile climb was tougher than the reality. The race for me was broken up into 3 parts: 0-2 miles steady, 2-4 miles hilly (particularly between miles 3 and 4) and then 4-7 an absolute flyer.
Beautiful glorious scenery. Supportive marshalls and spectators en route. A gem of a race, even in miserable November weather!

In short: Great race!
In full: Shame it was wet this year, but still a great atmosphere, and the hill was still steep!

In short: Up the hill and fast down
In full: I really enjoyed this race. The hill that seemed to get steeper and steeper. A glorious view. Then went as fast as I could downhill to the finish past a reservoir. All on country lanes.

In short: Great race! Thank you Macc Harriers.
In full: Had I realised how wonderful the view at the top was going to be I wouldn't have minded the uphill slog at all. Will be back next year to be more appreciative!
