In short: Fantastic course and atmosphere In full: This is a lovely course along the Wirral coast, with all of the route off road. The weather is key to chances of a PB here: this year there was a strong headwind after the turn for home which came as a shock to most.
The race is in a good cause and those with GPS will consider this probably the world's greatest 9.7K!
In short: excellent race and value for money In full: hope lots of money was raised, thanks to all volunteers, marshals and the spectators at the start/finish,head on wind on the turn around made this a - grit your teeth - return 5k run Well done everyone Date of review: September 12, 2010
In short: Great race In full: This race has it all well organised a flat course with a decent chance of a PB. A run along the Mersey waterfront together with part of the Wirral Way. A good mix of abilites which welcomes first timers and those looking to push the pace. The marshals and staff are very supportive and a goody bag tshirt and certificate all for £8 outstanding value. The best organised and most welcoming run on Merseyside Date of review: September 12, 2010
In short: Best race on Meresyside In full: This run has a great course is excellent value brillant organisation and a really friendly atomosphere. This is the best race on Merseyside and importantly all the money goods to a great cause. My only complaint is they only run it once a year Date of review: September 18, 2009
In short: Wow! Great views across the beach and brilliant organisation. In full: This is the 3rd year I've done this race and it was so nice to finally have a wind free race. The weather was perfect, sunny and warm with blue skies. The course itself is nice and flat, out and back around the lighthouse. Definitely beginner friendly but provides good PB potential. The orgnisation was of the highest quality, as always, and the race ran like clockwork. If you're local to the wirral do this race! Date of review: September 14, 2009
In short: Well organised, fun and great value In full: Once again the atmosphere at this 10K was great. It was really well organised by Carla and her team. They booked glorious weather for the second year running. And it still only costs seven quid. Date of review: September 14, 2009
