In short: As advertised: flat & fast
In full: My first time running this 10k, having seen it advertised as a fast course and seeking to improve on my 10k PB (which I achieved). A well organised race, the first 5k on open roads and the second 5k on the tow-path. Well signposted route and friendly marshalls. Mainly one for club runners, although the course is ideal for beginners. Plenty of parking by the Xcel leisure centre. Although it was an early start by starting at 9:00, it managed to avoid most of the heat and meant the tow-path wasn't too busy.

In short: Flat - fast - well organised
In full: This one is right on my doorstep so I couldn't resist it! As a non club runner (although I've run a fair number of races in the past few years) I felt perfectly comfortable at this 'clubby' event and I thought the organisation and information at the start were impeccable. Quite a frantic start - I hope the lady who took a fall near me went on to have a good race - but I guess a lot of runners were aiming for a good start and a PB on this one. It's always a bit tricky when a race is held on open roads/footpaths but the marshalls did a splendid job and offered some much needed encouragement at just the right moments! I thoroughly enjoyed this one and will back next year to hopefully improve on today's time!

In short: Spot on organisation; flat course is ideal for speed merchants and first timers alike
In full: My second run of this event and second PB - just sneaked under 40 minutes this time around.

Organisation was spot on - easy to leave bags in the leisure centre and even the "no leaving the car park until 10.15" didn't cause a big problem by the time I'd changed and sat down for a bit.

Not the most scenic of courses, and the volume of cyclists and pushchairs on the tow path was a bit inconvenient, but didn't detract from the overall smooth running.

Well done to Elmbridge AC for an excellently run event.

In short: Fab
In full: I commented to a friend there was a nice buzz around before the race, and all in all it kept that feel all the way round. Well done Elmbridge RR, very nice job indeed.

In short: Very high calibre field make this a must do race for PB seekers
In full: Fantastic organisation on the day. Amazing runners up front; people doing it for fun at the back. Family friendly atmosphere. How races should be.

In short: Thank you Elmbridge for another great 10K!
In full: I overheard there were many more entrants this year, always a challenge for the organisers but Elmbridge were as efficient and friendly as ever. A good club runners event but the route is ideal for a first timer's 10k too. Thanks again.

In short: Well organised fast 10k
In full: I've done this race a few times, and as always the organisation was great and the course fast and attractive. The only downside is the early start time, which meant delays getting there due to the traffic for the car boot just up the road. Maybe return to a 9:30 start time?

In full: Good race, well organised and marshaled, just too bloomin' hot for me!
Lovely medal - quite possibly my favourite so far!
