In full:
Obvious danger of rating the race simply by reference to my own (PB) performance, but there is definitely great potential here for a fast race for everyone. I thought the course was really quite pleasant - there may be quite a lot of houses about, but also quite a green feel to it and it's mostly on footpaths (with not as many twists as some have made out). For my money I'd usually prefer that to a scenic road route with traffic...

Good support from most of the marshals and a friendly atmosphere, notwithstanding lots of club runners looking for personal bests!

I'm sure the first mile marker isn't in the right place (or I did the first mile in 7:30 and the second in under 6 minutes) but otherwise the organisation was fine. Although whilst the race itself is good value, £1.50 for a cup of tea at the race HQ is a bit steep?

In short: Good flat race
In full: Good race for a first timer. Seemed to be mainly club runners. Rather short of water at the end. Didn't come last! Was focusing on finishing to worry too much about the housing estate architecture. Marshalls supportive.

In short: Great mid distance run, flat as a pancake - if you want to make the step up from 10K to half marathon then this is the run for you. Starter needed a megaphone and no cups and very little water at the end. Overall a great confidence booster.

In short: Flat, twisty and horrible scenery
In full: A flat race, but run through a horrid housing estate with no scenery to speak of. Very little water and not too many marshalls either. Not one of the better runs around!

In short: Dull but flat and fast
In full: Dull scenery: a twisting course around New Town housing estates and the view is no better on the second lap. Flat so good chance of a PB but quite twisty. Mainly tarmac paths / cycle tracks with a short stretch on a firm earth path through a wood.

The website could have been more informative - I had to ask for directions to the start.

Nice T-shirt as memento - more tasteful than most

In short: 2nd time of doing it, and a PB again!
In full: Enjoyed it more this time, because I wasn't so fazed by the second lap. But by the time the slower runners got in, there wasn't any water left, which I thought was really bad.
